Clifden's premier holiday home with heated pool + sauna - sleeps 24

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (19)
"Our family of 16, ages 76-4, enjoyed a wonderful week at Sunnybank house. We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo."

Spectacular Setting Overlooking Beach

"Our family group of six spent six gorgeous days at Brian's Atlantic Lodge in Cleggan this winter. And our stay was perfect. From the host's unobtrusive but warm welcome, to the comfortable yet elegant home itself, including daily fresh eggs(!), our time in Galway County and at our home away from home was absolutely wonderful. House between coast, lake + mountains: every window view is a Connemara highlight!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (102)
"This was just a marvelous place to stay. The house was a great location and equipped with you need. All the information we received was spot on accurate. We had great Irish weather - sunny some days, windy and rainy others. The School House was like a safe harbor. Plenty to do in the area - hiking, shopping, great food at local restaurants, convenient grocery shopping. Thanks to the owners. A great memory. "

"Sea for Miles was wonderful, and ideal for a stay with adults and children. The views from the windows are spectacular - sea and mountains. This was probably the best equipped rental house we have stayed in. Lovely big kitchen, open fire, big beds. Our host, Debbie, could not have been more responsive or attentive, and very kind. We were made to feel extremely welcome, and hope to return some time."

17 Canons Lane, truly is a home away from home

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (28)
"Lovely property. Very modern and comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Handy for everything. Literally the main street is 4 mins walk. Host is a lovely woman and very helpful. My only word of caution is that there is no wi fi. This did not bother me at all but my 3 kids were very frustrated especially if it's a wet day. So overall a top property but if your kids are of the age were wi fi is important be warned. (Or just don't bring them!)"

"Nestled into the rocks on the edge of the Atlantic, Doleen Quay House is an absolute treasure. The home and the furnishings are gorgeous, drawing inspiration from the ocean and the shoreline. The layout of the house was well suited for our family group of six adults, with four suites situated in the outer wings, connected by sunrooms to the main living space. We enjoyed cooking and sharing meals in the kitchen and dining area. Everyone loved their light and airy private rooms decorated in...

"This was the best place we stayed in Ireland. Equipped to a high standard. It is a great base for exploring the Connemara region and avoiding the hustle and bustle of Galway City. Clifden has all the amenities needed and lots of restaurants. The owner has Guys Bar which is one of the most pleasant pubs we have visited with outstanding food. We ate there three times. "

Idyllic Connemara cottage with sweeping sea, island and mountain views.

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (7)
"I was captivated by the photos and the description of this property when I was looking for a quiet country spot for us to return to the Wild Atlantic Coast for my Christmas-Birthday. It is actually the only one I reviewed…you had me at hello! Though rustic, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is gorgeous and we enjoyed interacting with the sheep, working dogs, and neighbors as we took long strolls down the very narrow lane. The proprietor was friendly and...
