"We stayed in Buttercup cottage. We were greeted by our host Rachel and made to feel very welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything we could need. The bedrooms were upstairs, a twin room which looked out over the countryside and also had velux windows for star gazing and the double room with velux windows. Downstairs was very spacious with a comfortable lounge, lovely dining room with a big table to eat round and take in the views, great kitchen with everything you need and so...

"We fell in love with the cottage from the time we first entered - to find everything needed to make tea and biscuits, and a vase of flowers in the kitchen (and the unique feature - the cell door and barred windows on the old police cell!) The cottage had plenty of space and was very comfortable and well fitted - comfortable beds and linen, plenty of towels, well equipped kitchen and everything nice and clean.The heating system was of a type I had not previously encoutered, burning wood pellets,...

"This is a very nice property for exploring Yorkshire. Plenty of space, excellent service by manager Lisa...who lives very nearby, and very close to Helmsley, York etc., small but very adequate groicery very nearby, great coffeee shop virtually across the street (not open ..I think..Monday and Tuesday), and plenty of restaurants in the area. Overall, and bear in mind we are used to US accomodations, this is exactly what I think you'd expect, with all that you need ...the owners have a great place...
