At check-in Kevin said that the unit had gotten double booked and told me he had another unit in the same complex. When I got to the unit, there was a puddle of water/cleaning solution on the floor. I went to clean it up but there weren't ANY towels in the kitchen. I found some bath towels in the closet, they were damp, all of them. I checked the bedding to see what condition it was in. They were damp as well. I called Kevin and he apologized and gave an excuse that you can't find good help these days. He said he would bring some paper towels over the next day and there was a dryer in the unit to dry the linens. When looking around I discovered the dishwasher was full of dishes (thankfully clean). There were many amenities that I had contracted for in the original unit that were missing, such as spices (not even salt and pepper), soap, 4 chairs in the dining area (there were only 2 in the unit I got, no having family over for dinner), Icemaker (there was an open bag of ice in the freezer though. Gross), only 2 coffee mugs (no offering coffee to the visiting family). So after a LONG day of travel, I'm having to do maid service in my unit before I can go to sleep. There wasn't a pullout sofa like the contracted unit had, so I had to wait for the linens to dry and make up my bed before I could finally get to bed. Needless to say, I feel cheated by this host.
