Comfy Home in the Adirondacks, close to Gore Mnt, hiking & snowmoble trails

The home has an open floor plan with a full working kitchen, large dining area and comfortable living room with wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one with a full-tub/shower and the other with a shower.
Bedroom 1, the master bedroom, has a queen size bed, and bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen and a twin size bed. Both bedrooms are spacious and have closets.
The loft area has 3 twin beds.
There is also a mud room with washer and dryer.
Home has phone, internet and DISH TV
Linens are provided but please bring your own beach towels for outdoor use.
Our home is located on a private road minutes from the center of town with private
access to the Cedar River and on-site nature trail. In the warmer months, perfect for an easy walk from your door to the soothing sounds of the cascading river water. In the Winter, right on the Indian Lake snowmobile trail with easy access to Blue Mountain Lake, Speculator, Long Lake and the Moose River Plains trail system. Skiing at Gore Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Indian Lake also has its own ski hill and ice skating rink to enjoy.
Spring season begins with whitewater rafting down the Hudson River, launching right
from Indian Lake. The area offers endless outdoor fun but also is centrally located for exploring all the area has to offer – museums, movie theater, shopping, restaurants, water parks, golf, leaf-peeping and scenic drives in the fall...
The town of Indian Lake offers a full calendar of activities and events for all seasons. Please check out the Indian Lake website to see what the town has planned for the year.

Lovely stay
We very much enjoyed the relaxation this cozy cabin offers. From watching deer just yards from the back window as we drank our morning coffee, to playing checkers on the game table with a fire going- it was the perfect respite.

Weekend winter getaway.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect location and central to many Adirondack lakes, towns and villages. We would definitely recommend for an Adirondack stay. Steve was also very helpful and is a an A plus host. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin!

Wonderful Adironack Cabin
The cabin was clean and well stocked with towels, wood, linens, and utensils. The community and location was quite, but very accessible to rt 28 and any needed amenities. We would welcome the opportunity to stay again while visiting Gore.

Charming and comfortable cabin beautifully located in the woods close to Gore Mountain. We loved the place and will definitely keep it in mind whether returning to ski, or heading there to explore summer hiking. Would highly recommend this for couples and families.

ADK Indian Lake
This house is located in a central area that provided several hiking opportunities near by. The house is roomy and very comfortable. The satellite TV was appreciated on the rainy day we had. Nice fire pit. It was a great Adirondack getaway for us and our dogs.

Absorbed our family perfectly! Excellent location for hiking and swimming. Night stars were amazing! Only thing I would change is a switch to deactivate the motion sensor light on the front porch.

Snowmobile Paradise
This house was absolutely fantastic. Super clean and impeccably maintained with ample room and amenities. Communication with owner was great and always received a quick response. Right on the snowmobile trails with easy access from the house. Will definitely book for next year.

Great ADK cabin for our family
We came out as a family (3 teenage boys) to enjoy a few days together before dropping the kids off at camp in Speculator. The boys all slept upstairs in the loft and they really enjoyed the place. We hiked Wakely Mt one day and Crane the next. Both were within an hour drive. Stewart’s Shop in town had the last minute items we needed for food. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect little getaway location. The home was clean and so very quiet, just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. There are a decent number of places to find food close by should you not want to cook and the home has everything you'd need if you decided you did want to cook. The hosts are great communicators! :)

Nice and cozy!
What a great place! From the warm decor to the cozy fireplace (with unlimited supply of woods!), this place could not be more perfect for our ski trip. It was clean and tidy with all the essentials available for our needs. Kids loved the separate loft space and we all thoroughly enjoyed watching tv and playing board games around the fireplace. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Wonderful spot, would recommend!
Steve and Jean's place was wonderful! We arrived on a snowy Friday evening to a freshly plowed and sanded driveway. The home is spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The fireplace warms the Livingroom so nicely, which was perfect after a day skiing at Gore (20 minutes away). Steve was extremely communicative and ensured our weekend stay was perfect. Thanks again!

Ski weekend take three.
This was our third stay at the cabin! Really, there is not even a conversation about staying any place else! It has all one would need. We came up for another ski day at Gore. Lucked out with weather again with a storm that dropped over a foot of snow. The cabin was warm, welcoming, comfortable and is stocked with anything you maybe need. It’s a perfect place to forget the world for a few days and immerse yourself in the woods, clean air and nature. It’s truly is a peaceful place. Thank you for having us!

Peaceful setting
My wife and I and our golden retriever spent 5 days at this peaceful Adirondack cabin. It rained most of our first day there, but we found games and puzzles to occupy our time. Enjoyed a trip to the nearby Adirondack Museum and explored many of the hiking trails nearby with our dog. We found the cabin well equipped and cozy. The owner, Steve, was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an Adirondack getaway.

Winter weekend getaway
Wonderful property, well situated close to Gore Mountain for skiing and many hiking / snowshoeing trails. We had a fantastic long weekend with our three kids and their teenaged cousin, just be aware that the ladder leading to the loft sleeping area is a little steep. The house is well maintained, well lit, very clean and comfortable for a family getaway (I always appreciate a host who has hand soap and thoughtful hooks in the bathroom for many towels!) The kids loved all the games and puzzles provided, and there’s lots of firewood available for the fireplace. Beds are comfortable, local restaurants are solid, and the host, Steve, is lovely to chat with and easy to reach. Highly recommend!

Amazing Place!
My wife rented this for a family vacation. She hurt her knee, so our 32-year-old daughter and myself were the only ones who were able to come. This place was absolutely amazing. It was our daughter’s first time to the Adirondacks. All she talked about was coming back to the same place but staying longer. We didn’t want to leave. I just wish I knew what the 5 gallon bucket on the tree was for. It made for some great conversation!
