Wonderful!

Such a nice place to stay, with really convenient access to the beach. Very well stocked, super comfortable space, extremely kind hosts. Hope to stay here again sometime.

Beach House Getaway

This was the perfect beach house getaway only steps from the back door to the ocean. Everything inside the home was perfectly clean and nicley decorated to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back to stay again!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Place was very cute and private. Was able to see some of the ocean from the couch. I watched the sunrise every morning. Did have a lot of dump truck noise from the road but there is a lot of construction going on around area. All in all, we would stay again.

Great location, nicely furnished

We really liked the condo and it was perfect for our needs. The location was excellent, close to shops, restaurants, the beach, and friends. The unit was very clean, the only reason for the 4 star rating for cleanliness was the upstairs carpeting was stained and very dirty. It really detracted from the overall charm of the unit. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Comfortable Stay

We traveled with our 2 small dogs. Property is older, but has lovely updates. Great location. Quiet neighborhood with plenty of shopping and eating options. Fully furnished kitchen. Gas and charcoal grills on patio. Easy access to clean, beautiful beach. Will definitely consider staying again.

The Surf Shack was great! The beach was a minute walk. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The mangroves were beautiful! (Half the fencing around patio was in garage, I’m sure from storm, if your planning on bring pets.)

Ocean, ocean, ocean!

My husband and I had such a great time at the condo that we've reserved it for next year. Lovely view of the ocean. Close to everything you'll need as far as places to eat, groceries, or odds and ends. Joanie was fabulous in answering questions. Would recommend staying here.

Great Little Retreat

I grew up down the street from this property and it was exactly the right place and amount of room for the two of us to have available while in town visiting family. Just a quick walk out the back door to the beach and everything you need to be comfortable. It has space for two couples and, while we didn’t bring a pet, it is definitely a dog friendly neighborhood. Parking was convenient, right outside front door and the host was timely in her response to inquiries about a few things.

Visiting my daughter at the beach

We came to the area to visit my daughter who moved down in June. The property had a nice porch area and was steps to the beach. Loved the ability to see the sunrise every morning. Used the grill twice and made smoothies. My daughter stayed over one night which was handy there were two bedrooms. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful beach area

The unit was very clean and kitchen well supplied. The carpet needs replaced upstairs and Wi-Fi info updated. The problems were quickly fixed. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed a relaxing vacation.

It's all about the beach!

This was our second stay at the Surf Shack and it was even better then the first. The owners/Joanie have made numerous improvements and it appears they will continue to do so. Communicating with Joanie was easy and you typically got a response back to your question(s) in about 15 minutes or less. I love the fact that you are close enough to the downtown restaurants that you can walk. The beach is not too busy and was the perfect place to be able to observe a night launch from Cape Canaveral. Love this place!

Surf Shack

In no way does this reflect on the host, Joanie Sheperd, who we had good communication with, but on the property owner, the carpet up the stairs and hallway were old and smelt moldy, the vent in the upstairs bedroom had mildew and stains, the AC filter had not been changed and was dirty, we changed it ourselves, the windows had bubbling around them showing signs of moisture, the upstairs shower/bath would not turn cold, just trickled out of the shower head. Carpet is never a good idea when pets are allowed, it caused me headaches and coughing from allergies. If these changes were made and fixed, Surf Shack would be a fun and cute place to stay.

Only problem we really had was that there was no light out on the back patio at all, it was pitch black at night and we had to use our cell phone lights to go outside, the front only had lights that came on when you approached the front door, just felt that there could definitely be more security lighting around the front and the back, but just loved the "beach house" as we called it!!

Great A/C and a truly comfy king bed! I gave rating a 4 out of 5 because VRBO shows the property in the middle of a complex when, in truth, the property is on the end without a full view. You don’t find out until you pay for the property. I was able to deduce that it was an end unit, but VRBO’s advertising is probably deliberately misleading. That is unacceptable and I hope everyone else will also call out VRBO for misleading business practices.
