The log cabin inside features a 2-story vaulted ceiling, dramatic fireplace and rough-hewn plank walls and ceiling in the living room. Local vintage antiques decorate the living room walls. Our guests are best at describing the experience:
• The cabin is special. It’s located in a beautiful area of Virginia that provides solitude in nature while also being 15 minutes from a nice grocery store. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with nice cookware and kitchen tools. We spent a day on the property enjoying the view, walking through the fields to find even more splendid views, and having a cozy fire in the comfortable cabin. The next two days we rode the Virginia Creeper trail and hiked with wild ponies in Grayson Highlands State Park. Anne was responsive to all inquiries and provided all the information we needed for our trip. - April 2022
• 100 percent awesomeness!!! We loved the cabin and property kitchen was well supplied. Being from Florida we had a beautiful fire burning almost all week. Great family time. We hope to return one day 😃 - April 2021
• Views are unreal as are the chipmunks, dear, cows, turkeys, hawks and many, many rabbits. The weather was amazing, no bugs or skeeter's. Who would think you would need a fire in July. - July 2020
• What a beautiful and peaceful property it was so relaxing and the children loved taking walks, swinging on the tire swing, running around in the yard, sitting on the big rock, making some wars at night and exploring the Woods thank you for sharing.
• What amazing views, the fresh mountain air and the picturesque cabin were the perfect escape for our family. Our kids’ favorite part was the tire swing and we all enjoyed fires in the fireplace and in the fire pit.
