Great stay! Nice, private property
My family (plus pup) has a great stay at this property. Everything was as pictured, and the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the fishing and the kayaks for a week away.

My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend. Everything was clean and very nice. We didn’t catch many fish but the calmness and quiet is exactly what we needed. The host was quick to respond to our questions and would love to come back!

Wonderful Lakehouse
This property was perfect for my family. We enjoyed fishing in the private lake on one side of the lake house and the river on the other. It was fantastic! Adam was a great host!

Loved the location!
We loved our stay in the Lake House. The photos were very accurate, and the whole place was nice and clean. We saw so many turtles and frogs in the pond and our daughter loved the paddle boat. It was also easy to use the dock on the Wapsi side to get our canoe in and out. It is a very peaceful, quiet setting but still close to the conveniences of town. We hope to return!

Great private lake getaway
Great place for a weekend getaway. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The location is great with a private lake on one side and a river on the other. Plenty for everyone to do. We were able to fish and play outside with my toddler. Great place for all ages! It was a nice short trip for us and just what we needed!

It’s was freezing cold and snowy while we stayed there. It would be amazingly fun there in the summer, but it is absolutely peaceful sitting out in the deck while it was snowing watching a bald Eagle fly by. I will absolutely rent again!

We had a wonderful time. Very quiet and relaxing. Wi-Fi worked fine. The 2 tv's in the living room areas worked just fine but could not get the tv in the bedroom to work. Overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing time. Sure we will be going back again.

We had a wonderful stay. It was private, quiet, and relaxing. The setting is beautiful. The house is comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The house has splendid views on both sides and has multiple windows to enjoy the scenery. The one item that would have made the views better is if the windows had been cleaned.

We just spent last weekend at the lake cabin and we would recommend it. We live in the country and enjoy the solitude and quietness. The only sound we heard at the cabin were the geese (which I love). We kayaked, fished and paddleboarded. Took our 2 dogs and it was nice not to have to tie them up. Pretty cool to have the little lake on one side and the river on the other. Adam was a great host.

Guys Fishing Trip
Dad and sons enjoyed 5 day fishing trip. Fish were biting and time together was great. Cabin was very private (gated), modernly remodeled, clean, comfortable, relaxing and had everything we needed. Entire grounds of property well maintained (mowed with no tall grass shore to shore). Drive to Independence very short trip. Highly recommend for peace and quiet away from work and city life.

Wonderful stay!
We had a fantastic time staying at the lake house! The privacy of the lake was unprecedented. The house has seen a lot of memories, but provides very comfortable amenities on the inside and out. Everything we needed to enjoy the outdoors (firewood, picnic area, deck, dock, kayaks, etc) we’re all stocked and available. Loved the ribs and burgers we made on the smoker, all around fantastic weekend, dogs had a blast too!

Nice cabin in the woods
We were warm and cozy. Fairly good accomodations. Our only complaints are no extra paper products (Kleenex etc). The hand soap dispensers didn't work. I had a puppy that we had to take out after dark and it was hard to see the steps. The lock box thing was way too hard to use. I ended up leaving the keys in the lock and notifying the owner. The property was comfortable and clean but not a good place for small children. Great fishing camp, I'm sure.

We took a long weekend and stayed at The Lake House for the first time. This is a wonderful place. Peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed listening to the birds and watching the water. It was clean and comfortable and felt like home. Highly recommend!

Spectacular Location
With a small lake on one side and the river in the other, it made water activities extremely convenient. The fairly remote location made for a quiet and relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend this property.
