Stay at Tahoe
The stairs of this place are 66 in total and should be listed up front. Very difficult to come and go from place for a person that has had knee problems, children, and adults without stamina. The place is very convenient and has all things a person needs for a vacation. The vrbo people are very nice.

Spacious and comfortable
We love how clean , bright, and comfortable this house is, and in our favorite location, this is our second time renting it, and we will be back. The reason I have given it 4 stars is for the many stairs going down to the house from the parking lot, can be dangerous when icy and we needed to dig ourselves out from under 4 feet of snow last winter, it was a good workout though;) The house is lovely and when we had issues with kitchen sink blockage we got it fixed pretty fast, and when it snowed we had asked for a shovel and got a new shovel delivered right away, but the house needs TLC - updating in the kitchen, the dining chairs need repair, the doors upstairs do not lock well, or jam .

Great stay, looking forward to going back
Wonderful property in a great neighborhood. The house itself was lacking some maintenance such as the doors that lead out from the living room to the patio, but we overlooked those small details because overall the house was in good shape, clean and the location and view were out of this world. In my opinion, Incline Village is the best spot in Tahoe. The location is beautiful, the people at local businesses are very friendly, not overly crowded and no large hotels or malls. Also the great Flume mtb trail is close by and free shuttle from Incline Village to best beach in Tahoe, Sand Harbor. Couldn't ask for more

Incredible Vacation Home.
This way my first time renting a home on vacation, the home was lovely and relaxing. My Girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. I started each day with coffee on the balcony looking out at the trees and the lake. Ended each day sitting on the balcony having wine 🍷 in some of the reviews people complained about all the stairs to the unit. It really isn't as bad as people made it out to be I felt it was like walking to my castle to my place of peace and rest.. next time I come to Lake Tahoe. I want to stay at this beautiful home no reason to look at any place else beautiful large kitchen lots of beautiful appliances everything you need for your family dishes cookware. If it gets too hot, there is fans in the closet little two large rooms, plenty of space to relax and not be in each others way.

Please dont stay here if you care about your life. The place is 50 feet from parking and up a steep incline and the property managers dont shovel so I shoveled and shoveled. Awful experience!! These people dont care about anyone but themselves.

Nice house but terrible property management
1st impression - 60 feet of 6 ft of snow covered walkway to get down to front door. 10 empty drink cans around front door. 5 bags of smelly leaky trash inside the entry way. No dishtowels or sponges and barely any silverware or pots and pans. Frozen dog poop on deck. Other than all that, the house is well laid out and comfortable in a great location. I will not deal with Vacasa again.

Not very clean
Was disappointed when we arrived to find the property wasn’t clean. Dead bugs on the carpet, tile in bathrooms and kitchen were dirty, back of stove and kitchen wall still had food that hadn’t been cleaned, found straw on bedroom floor. Expect to have property cleaned, especially when you are charging a cleaning fee.

Spectacular Lake View and Perfect Location.
The view and location of this home cannot be beat. This makes up for what is lacking in the property. If you are considering booking this home know that you will be in a lovely quiet location with very steep stairs down to the front door which will be icey in the winter. The property manager seems to have worked hard to rectify past reviews. The home was clean with newish carpet in most rooms. However, remains of spills and dust behind furniture have been overlooked. The kitchen has beyond basic supplies although mismatched. Be sure to bring a sponge or dishcloths as there were none provided nor extra trash bags. While the bed lines were clean they have been well used and were rough. If you’re picky about bed pillows, bring your own as every single one was old and flat. All of this said we enjoyed our stay.

This home is tired and needs updating and maintenance.
The location of this property is excellent. The reason for the 3-star review is because this property is not well cared for. The door leading to the deck did not open or close without force. The BBQ outside did not have a battery in the propone tank nor did it have a lighter. The kitchen sink faucet does did not operate property and kept turning on it's own after we shut it down. This home is tired and needs some love. If the owners invested the money to fix this home up, this could became an amazing VRBO. In it's current condition, this is a 3-star accommodation.

Very Disappointed
Where do I begin.... The home is a pigsty! Not being dramatic here.... we stayed here last July and it looks like the place hasn’t been cleaned since then. We found random tee shirts in closet and drawers. Carpets stained and worn-out, I think there was dog poop and urine stains throughout. The kitchen was greasy, sticky and utensils broken and missing. The entire home smells like a decaying rodent! Oh now we know why.... pictures attached of dead mouse behind dresser in downstairs guest room. We were assured that the home was clean and ready for our stay. We paid a lot of money for this vacation but, other than the view, it was not even close to what was advertised

Great views, but lacking most everything else...
Property desperately needs deep cleaning and serious updating. It's not retro-chic (antique or rustic), it's just plain old and worn '90s. Property manager needs to spend some time at the house to assess what's missing and make sure there are basic necessities available to make the house more "turn key", especially for short-term visitors. Also upgraded towels, sheets and related (cushions for the outside furniture??) would make this house much more comfortable. All and all, completely overpriced for what you are getting - no value - and feels like this is someone's investment property. If you want a very lovely view from a house in a very nice neighborhood, this is your house but be warned that this is not your typical high-end house. You will be foregoing most creature comforts. I won't be back.

Beautiful View
The house is spacious, clean and has a beautiful view. As warned in the online description and lamented by previous reviewers, there are 50 concrete steps down from parking to the front door. These steps are not shaded and very taxing on 85 degree afternoons. Similarly, the upper level - living/dining, kitchen and bedroom - become uncomfortably warm in August. The house does not have ceiling fans and floor fans were inadequate. The upper deck does not have umbrellas, so it is not usable in hot sun. The lower level and its deck and 3 bedrooms were very comfortable temperature wise. On arrival a bathroom door would not unlock - property management responded the next day when notified and took care of it. Management was also provided pictures of a broken stairway bannister and large dark carpet stains. The bottom rack of the dishwasher was missing 2 wheels, making operation challenging, As discussed by previous reviewers, the property listing description and photos are confusing as to bedrooms and beds. As of this review there are 4 bedrooms - (1) master bedroom lower level with 1 king, (2) bedroom lower level with 2 twins, (3) bedroom lower level with 2 twins, and (4) bedroom upper level with 1 “queen” which looked more like a double/full size bed. While our group of 3 couples enjoyed the location and view and used the decks as much as possible, we would be reluctant to return in August.

Worst vrbo experience ever
Sadly I can’t write a review of the property itself due to not seeing it. 2 weeks prior to our check in date, my elderly father’s health took a turn for the worse and I realized that I needed to stay home and help as a caregiver. We live in a remote area where the doctors are 2 hours drive one way, and my mother doesn’t drive. As I knew his health was deteriorating, I purchased trip insurance in case this exact situation happened. I reached out to the insurance company and was told that I would need a long list of documents, some signed by my father’s physician, in order to file a claim. I also must first cancel the trip through vrbo to proceed with a claim. They suggested that I call vrbo to see if I could get a refund or change my dates as the insurance likely wasn’t going to cover the claim. I did and was told by vrbo that now it was 13 days prior to check in and I would not receive any refund or be able to change dates. (This is almost 2 weeks prior and it was peak season at Lake Tahoe) They also informed me that they actually just did the booking and Vacasa was the manager, so I needed to try and get a refund from them instead. I did contact Vacasa and was told that since vrbo did the booking it was out of their hands. So I requested to speak to the actual local property manager, or if they could forward my request to the owner. ( I own a rental property in the area and have often made exceptions). I received no refund or date changes. Not even cleaning fee

Dangerously snow packed & icy stairs
The property overall was everything we were looking for. HOWEVER, the owners of this property seem to have it ran by a management company who is not doing things properly. The only access to the house is down several flights of stairs. We arrived and they were completely covered in snow and ice, you couldnt even see the stairs. It was extremely difficult and dangerous getting all of our luggage down and up the stairs. I was sent HOA paperwork to sign prior to arriving so I assumed the HOA or management company would clear the steps the next day or soon. 3 days went by and I finally messaged via Vrbo app and no response. We then decided to call the management company. They sent one person out who was unable to finish the job due to SO MUCH SNOW . They put snow melt down and then never came back to finish the job. So we were left with half melted, foot high snow filled stairs. VERY DANGEROUS AND COMPLETELY unbelievable that this was left this way. If we had a small child, pregnant person, elderly person, or really anyone other than healthy adults with us- we would NOT be able to access this house. We had to sled down our groceries… not good. I have messaged the management company several times and heard no response from them via the Vrbo app since leaving to address this. The house has amazing views and had many bedrooms, large kitchen, many bathrooms to accommodate and were dog friendly. The location was perfect. I would have LOVED to give this place 5 stars, i really did enjoy myself here once inside, but the stairs were just a big issue for us. Also the kitchen really could use updated pots, pans, ect. We made due but basically zero spices and things like that were provided. Not enough toilet paper and paper towels, zero laundry soap or trash bags were provided. The small things like that could have made a nice touch. The beds and living spaces were well furnished though and i felt very at home. The fireplace was lovely and the views unmatched. I hope that the owners communicate better with their management team in order to make this a safe place for future vacationers and to turn this into a 5 star rental

Summertime in the Mountains
Our large family of adults enjoyed this peaceful mountain chalet with its expansive, open , airy and bright main floor plan and deck space for 1 week. Unfortunately it was very smokey due to the fires burning in the State but normally we would have really also enjoyed the expansive Lake View Deck with its gorgeous views. The house is easily located in the heart of Incline Village. There are 4 ample bedrooms, two with twin beds and two with a king & queen. The 3 large bathrooms were also great. The whole home is beautifully furnished, cozy and welcoming. Yes, there are Stairs, but we looked at it in a positive way,,,,what a great workout! It was not 100% perfect, the home could use some general maitenance: French doors on the main & lower deck need weatherstripping and door props to stay open. Master bath sink faucets were really stiff and difficult to turn on. Many light bulbs were missing, some lamps inoperable. Besides the towels in the bathroom, there were NO extra linens, pillowcases or towels or light bulbs.NO BEACH TOWELS or beach chairs or umbrella are provided either. No Lounge chair or Dining chair pads for the uncomfortable iron deck furniture. We were given one trash bag in the kitchen for 8 of us for the week, no pen & pencil, and only two tiny dish towels for the kitchen. We bought our own dish rack for drying as there was none provided. No Laundry Basket. There were no recycle cans, what? In our opinion, these are basic to any rental. No printed instructions were left about basic checkout, telephone numbers to call for help,Where to put your trash & recycling and codes for the "Trash House" down the road by the entrance which we never knew about, private beach access info & prices. Be prepared to pack up all your trash & recyclables, place it in your vehicle and drive it down the road to dispose of it .Oh, and if you decide to go to one of the 3 private beaches you are given tickets for, be warned of the cost, it was $96 for 7 of us to go for the day, and bring your own towels and chairs & buy an umbrella because nothing is provided at the beach for the $ except a chair if they are not taken. We had to look up the property management co on our phone email and to their credit they did bring us some pillowcases, hangers and replaced some light bulbs and told us where to take the trash but a neighbor had to tell us the code. Great rental but the owners should have their property management company step up their game.

Gorgeous views, less than ideal check-in condition
This is my second stay at this property (initially stayed in Jan 2021). This property has gorgeous views and is spacious. Last year, property needed a lot of work and property management promised improvements. Other guest comments noted same issues with same response from property management. At check-in, the following was noted: - kitchen faucet was leaking. the handle would not stay in locked position and would open by itself causing water to run. - dishwasher bottom rack is missing 2 rollers causing rack to fall off rails - large couch was covered in large ants. found them in kitchen and on carpet - pots and pans continue to be old and in terrible condition. Some were missing handles preventing safe drainage of hot water. - not enough mugs for the max occupancy of the house - dishes and utensils were greasy at check-in despite being neatly stored. - significant dust and debris under beds and furniture. Carpet was replaced in living room and hallways since last visit but bedrooms still have old carpet. I love the views and layout of this cabin but I am definitely not coming back given that property management still can’t address the same concerns that multiple guests are sharing.

kitchen needs help
The view was amazing and the property accommodated our party of six very comfortably. The house has an 80's vibe that seems to be slowly updating, paint colors etc. could stand a refresh. The home also did not really supply enough basic household needs such as a roll of paper towels, coffee filters (even just 5, enough for our stay,) spices, other than salt and pepper (no sugar or sweeter of any kind,) a small bottle of dishwashing soap, body wash, and a laundry detergent pod. etc. The most disappointing part of the home was the lack of decent/appropriate kitchen gear. We had to go out and buy a stock pot so we could make enough soup for the family (NOT a cheap purchase in Tahoe!) Mix-matched pots/pans (some with the Teflon peeling off,) and just a basic lack of things such as a baking sheet, grater, etc. This house is a nice size and seems built for families so I feel it could be better equipped. Other than that, we all enjoyed out stay.

Tahoe Fall Hiking Trip
Great view, clean, well stocked house in a quiet area. The 50 stair steps down to the front door were no issue for us (but could be for others).
