In the heart of Parasio, the old town of Imperia, we set up a home for vacation and relax entirely dedicated to the sea and its colors.
In a 19th century palace on the main square of Parasio, which enjoys amazing views of the sea and the green mountains, you'll find a lovely home decorated by the touch of an artist.
The attention to detail is above average and the house is very comfortable.
A panoramic descent takes you to the beaches in 5 minutes.
We spent much time to furnish and renovate the house, making it a little gem.
You will find a furnished home in the most typical colors of our Liguria.
The house consists of a living room, a small kitchen equipped with everything needed for cooking, two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
The first bedroom has a double bed, while the second has a sofa bed, which can be transformed into a single bed or a double bed, depending on the needs of guests.
The mattresses are of excellent quality, 22 cm thick, very comfortable even for long stays.
Colors and decorations reflect the deepest roots of our land, Liguria, offering to our guests a taste of history and local attractions.
The house is a typical Ligurian apartment of the nineteenth century, with very high ceilings and a direct view on the main square of Parasio, the medieval old town, very picturesque, quaint, and surrounded by the sea.
The house is perfectly suited for families with children because they have a room to themselves, the square below has public games and it's safe and very quiet.
The promontory of Parasio is the medieval old town of Porto Maurizio and is one of the symbols that characterize the town of Imperia, the most interesting place in Porto Maurizio.
Rich in architecture, including churches, ancient buildings and quaint typical Ligurian alleys (“carrugi” in ligurian), it offers to those who visit, the breathtaking views that only a village overlooking the sea can grant.
A charming and spellbound atmosphere among ups-and-downs, panoramas, little squares, flights of steps, loggias and the scent of caper plants.
Ms Minella (my mom) and I (I speak English) will be available during your stay for all needs. You'll meet my mom on arrival and on departure.
Our guests are required to pay the Tourist Tax to the Municipality of Imperia.
The amount is 2,00 EUR (two) per person per day.
We kindly ask you to fulfill this payment upon your arrival, IN CASH directly to us.
The tax is required up to a maximum of 5 nights in a row.
Children under 14 (on the first day of stay) are free from payment.
For instance, two adults staying in our home for a week will pay 20 EUR in total.
The house is within the Parasio ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone, or Zona a Traffic Limitato), which means that you can enter and exit with the car every day, but only during the hours from 08:00 to 10:00, from 15:00 to 17:00 and from 19:00 to 01:00.
The nearest parking is about 300 meters from the house.
If you come by car, I can provide you a free pass which will allow you to reach our house with the car to load and to unload your luggage at any time, limited to the arrival and departure days.
Just below the house there is a typical Ligurian restaurant, where you can enjoy a nice outdoor dining (in summer).
The village Parasio is certainly one of the most interesting and fascinating historical and cultural reality of all the western Liguria.
Parasio is perched on a promontory that looks out on the sea. It's a medieval village still today almost entirely pedestrianized.
Its spiral structure, with the typical alleys (“caruggi” in italian) that climb the promontory, the numerous churches, the palaces, the oratorios, the gardens, the stunning views of the sea and the valley, make the Parasio a unique experience, in a continuous up-and-down that engages the inhabitants and tourists attentive to the landscape.
Everything is walking distance: beaches and shops can be easily reached on foot. My advice is to park the car and move on foot.
The nearest beaches are about 500m on foot using the various and panoramic stairs that start from the square towards the sea.
These beaches are suitable for children and can be reached in about 10 minutes, keeping in mind a certain difference between sea level and the level of the home.
They can be reached also by a public free lift service, that takes you to the many surrounding beaches and everything you might need in the center of Porto Maurizio.
There are various options for parking:
Free parking area (white strips) and Toll Parking areas (blue strips) in Piazza Duomo and surroundings at about 300 meters from home.
Toll parking rate is from 0.50€/hour to 1.50€/hour from Mondays through Saturdays (8:30 - 12:30 and 14:30 – 18:30) while in the other timeframes is free.
