A Tardis-like Cottage
The only pics available online to book this cottage show some interior shots and the swimming pool. So I was unable to 'recognise' it from the outside and because it was dark when we arrived it was difficult to find it. However, from the outside it looks like a small cottage - but thanks to a generous extension it is quite spacious. I realise that most people from England are well-used to gas heating - but we weren't and the 'instructions' were not clear. A very helpful contact provided by the owner sorted that little problem out.My only criticism would be the bedrooms - while blinds were provided & they were quite sufficient for night-time, they did not block out daylight - so awakened rather earlier than I would have liked.And it would have been helpful to have a note of where to find a supermarket, restaurants/pub, nearest garage etc. The local Tesco (& it was just round the corner) just happened to be closed! Luckily for us, my son lived nearby and was able to direct us to get the basics for our stay.
