"Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. "We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Room is small but it did the job, bed sheets not the most comfortable but mattress good, shower nice and very clean. Faro is small so it’s within 5 minutes to everything. WiFi and tea available for free. Staff were lovely, when we got locked out at 2am she came with no complaint to come and let us in. "

"Basic accommodation. Needs a mirror in the room, a little more heating in the rooms during the winter months, terrace wasn't as beautiful as what it shows in the photo. Beds were so comfy and cosy!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. "A great find. Only 500m from airport so walkable (though we did have a car). Free parking on site and breakfast included in cost of room. Room was very clean with a great shower. Good breakfast selection in clean and tidy breakfast room. Clean swimming pool (didn’t use as February) if you have children with you. Next door was good restaurant that served Indian, Portuguese, Chinese and Pizza/Pasta so covered all the bases. A great hotel if you have an early flight or late arrival (as we did). We used as a base to explore Faro and Tavira. Also free wi-fi. "

"You must have breakfast at the hotel. Fresh, wholesome, delicious! Plenty to eat. We’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Europe, this is our favourite. The staff is exceptional! The rooms are well appointed. The balconies are large and the views are great! Will definitely recommend it to our friends!"
