"Exceptionally beautiful and well-run hotel. We stayed in a self-catering villa and it's certainly the best hotel we've stayed at for these rates per night (and preferable to having bed and breakfast at a lesser hotel). Fantastic beach and location. The only negative being the rather rusty and dated equipment in the gym. Overall, highly recommended."

"We stayed here for 4 nights and our stay was great. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful and greeted us every time with a smile and hello as we were on the same floor. The staff at breakfast and at the bar were also friendly and welcoming. Our room was great with a balcony over looking the pool. The spa treatments were great and value for money was amazing. "Had a lovely stay as a couple at Dom Jose. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a standard room which was quite small but sufficient. Breakfast was very nice. The restaurant over looks the promenade and sea which is a lovely setting to enjoy breakfast in. "Lovely large comfortable rooms with good technology, great Bluetooth speaker and large shower. Gym was simple but effective and indoor spa had small heated dip pool, sauna and steam room along with 4 types of shower! Outdoor rooftop waterfall pool was larger with plenty of chairs and areas to relax in the sunshine. "

"Very nice hotel. We visited in late November so enjoyed lying by the outdoor pool but swimming inside! Big indoor pool and sauna. Did one of the classes which was good, and played tennis. Broad range of food. House wines were ok and not expensive. Bed was enormous. Only issue was air con was on heating mode and we were too hot, even with it off. Slept with door open. "

"The hotel and staff were quite lovely during our stay. Unfortunately, we went during the low season and I definitely do not recommend doing that. There wasn't much to do in the surrounding area but that isn't really the hotel's fault. The one thing I will say that was not satisfactory at the property was the breakfast. "Staying in the deluxe room with the jacuzzi on the patio was a must. It’s a short walk to town although the restaurant food quality was a bit disappointing and restaurants were empty due to the season. We didn’t dine at hotel. However we capped off each night with a drink in the hotel’s fabulous rooftop bar. The hotel was almost empty so it was surprising we had to wait for our room( we arrived early) but they kept saying not ready when when we finally came back at the specified check in time there was a lineup and then we had to wait even longer. However the gentleman at check in was helpful when we were trying to get a package delivered. "

"Small room with space to open only one carry-on suitcase at a time but inexpensive and had everything we needed for a night before catching an early flight, including a comfortable bed and a very nice shower with good water pressure. Efficient staff. Short Uber ride to the Old Town and waterfront for a peaceful walk and a wonderful meal at Santa Maria Petiscaria. The hotel and restaurant turned a dreaded quick stopover in Faro to catch a morning flight into a great evening and a highlight of our trip."
