However, 24hr reception is not correct, had to wait 15 minutes on the phone and no one answered so had to call another property of the group to gain access. "This is a somewhat dated (quirky even?) hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is well-worn, but our rooms were big by European standards. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Shower, while it took a bit to figure out how to turn it on, produced a good flow of plenty warm water. Parking on street after 7pm and before 9am is free. The carpet could be replaced, as it’s dated. Hotel is on a main boulevard and is convenient to all sorts of food and the theatre. All told, I would stay there again...

Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town.
