Well decorated rustic log cabin with great host and breakfast. South of Idaho Springs on scenic road. 10,000 altitude did affect us some since we just came from Oklahoma.

Amazing!!
We had an amazing stay at The Silver Lake Lodge. The owners are super sweet and cannot do enough for you. I have to say that it was the cleanest place that I have ever stayed. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! The views are spectacular and within a 15 minute walk to the trailhead to St. Mary’s Glacier. I will definitely stay again but next time will book more than 1 night!

Loved staying here for a night and blown away by the hospitality of the hosts Andrew and Margaret. They treat their guests like family. Everything felt so cozy and homely. The views of the St Mary’s Glacier from the second floor deck is stunning. This lodge is very quiet and you will feel as if you have the entire lodge to yourself. The highlight was the breakfast next day morning which was made fresh and totally homemade recipe. Will definitely be back staying here again.

It was a wonderful place to stay. The only negative was that it was warm in our room and there was no screen in the window so we couldn’t open it. The breakfast was amazing. We highly recommend.

What a beautiful place to stay!! If you’re looking for a mountain retreat you have found it!! Far removed from lights, noise and busy!! The food was incredible!! Home cooking to the highest level!!! This is a quiet property. We were in town for a late concert. Owners have quiet hours and late check in was difficult. Male owner scolded up for a late arrival after a long flight delay. And missing a meal due to altitude sickness.
