Beautiful Mountain Stay

Cozy Cabin and Amazing Weekend

This cabin was more than we could have asked for. It was the perfect cozy weekend get away. The views were incredible and the property is tucked away in the trees. The cabin was stocked more than we had anticipated and had everything we needed and more. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, even letting us check in early. Our family will definitely be staying here again.

More than we expected

The Cabin and location was absolutely beautiful and amazing! We enjoyed every second of our stay. This was a birthday trip for my daughter. When we arrived at the cabin, the hosts had birthday balloons and a card waiting for her. It was so sweet and my daughter was surprised. Best hosts by far and we couldn’t thank them enough for the wonderful communication and outstanding hospitality! We will definitely be back!

Exactly as advertised!!

A remote cabin 10,000 feet up with beautiful views and access to some of the the most spectacular views in Colorado. The pre visit communication with color flyer was jam packed with ideas and suggestions as well as seemingly every detail covered about the property. Plus while there zero and Ifran checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed.. Highly recommend this property!

Summer Mountain Trip, family of 6

This place is amazing!!!! Just as advertised and true to previous reviews. The cabin is clean, cozy, and has high end additions. It really was relaxing, my teens and tweens loved it. Owners were so nice - brought the family some Krispie Kremes and gave my hubby and kids a tour of the town on the ATV. The area is a hidden gem close to Denver, but not overrun by tourists. We live close to RMNP, but this area, including St. Mary's glacier, Loch Lomond, Idaho Springs are closer to the Colorado vibe we crave. Have lived in Colorado my whole life and this is one of the best mountain getaways I have ever had! We will be back.

Vacation

Loved Colorado. The location was beautiful. The drive to the rental house took some getting use to. The drive took over 20 minutes to get up the mountain to the house. The house was clean with lots of items there so our grocery bill wasn’t as big. There is no oven so make sure you are thinking of that when you go grocery shopping. We had a great time on this vacation and at this house. Thank you.

Great Girls Trip

We stayed at this property for 5 nights for a girls hiking trip. We have been coming to Colorado to hike 14ers since 2014 and booking house rentals since 2015. By far Zedi and Ifran were the most responsive and welcoming property owners. There is a lake nearby within the neighborhood and I had inquired about a kayak and they actually brought us one!!! WE also accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and they got us back in right away. It's also the first property where the only check out items were to lock doors and windows. They made our stay so comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend this house!

50th Birthday celebration was amazing

Upon booking the property managers were in touch immediately asking if we needed anything to make our stay better. I mentioned it was my 50th Bday and it was a group of ladies coming up. They were in constant communication before during and after our stay. They offered us both early and late checkout due to availability. They had a flower bouquet for me saying 50th so they pay attention to detail. Absolutely love this cabin. Extremely peaceful and gorgeous views Highly recommend and will be back again

THE PERFECT STAY

This cabin was just what we needed and exactly what was listed online. There were 7 adults and plenty of room. It was far enough removed from town that we got to just be in nature, but was also close enough that we could easily access everything we needed and where we wanted to go. So many close trails and St. Mary’s trail was just a walk or short drive up the road (and we hiked clear up the top which was totally worth it). The hosts were phenomenal and I’ve never had a VRBO host so personally invested in the quality of our stay. Zedi checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and even left us Crumbl cookies. Very responsive and so accommodating. The outdoor space was key and so perfect that we never even turned the TV on. 2 bathrooms was so nice and plenty of extra blankets and towels were available. We drove in easily via minivan, in summer, but I can see how 4x4 in winter would be crucial. I give this place the highest recommendation and would stay again next time we head this way.

Cozy Secluded Hidaway

We came to Colorado to see family and explore some before moving on to The Arches and Canyon Lands in Utah. I wanted something for my wife and I where we could be alone together in nature. The Cabin is adorable and the showers are incredible. We live on well water at home and wondered how it has so much water pressure and available water that high up. It is quite the drive up and I’m glad we changed our car rental to a 4wd truck. The dirt road leading to the property is good in one direction but the highlighted route on the map coming up the back way is eroded pretty severe. If using Waze you can see the two ways on Mine road but take the most direct route. The stars are incredible around 3am. It did rain off and on this time of year. If your a mountain hiker/ skier / snow boarder who is used to high elevations the. This is a fantastic gettaway.

Lovely property

The cabin location on the mountain side with outdoor patio and firepit was lovely. We hiked right up from the backdoor to catch the Yankee Hill trail. We had good communication with the owners. Thank you! The bathrooms and laundry were so convenient and clean. The loft got good use from our two pre-teen girls. However, the cabin needs TLC. There was so much dust--bedroom shelves, floors, behind furniture, cobwebs on walls and ceilings, etc. To feel "at home" we vacuumed, dusted and mopped the dining area/kitchen the first day. One set of pillows on the family room couch was not clean. I washed all the family room blankets because there was a mouse trap next to the basket with a dead mouse in it and a few pieces of trash in the blanket basket. The kitchen lacked a few items--only three drinking glasses, no plastic bowls for mixing. Even though it was small we put it to good use. It is such a beautiful property. Could be gorgeous and very comfortable with a bit of extra attention--outside lighting, thorough clean, update of kitchen appliances. Thanks!

The only problem we had was that we had to leave…but we WILL be back!!

We knew the cabin was beautiful from the photos and, having been to the Rockies before we had an idea of where we would be staying. However, from the moment we pulled up (after a 14 hour drive) and saw the soft fairy lights on the porch, the living room light had been left on for us, and they had soft music playing as we entered…we fell in love! Check in was so easy, check out was even easier! The cabin is beautiful and fully stocked. My daughter and I had a grand time cooking and baking while there. My husband and I took the kids around the Rockies to show them the area and everyone had a blast! When we would come “home” after a day out we would start a fire in the fireplace, start a movie for the family, while I would cook a delicious dinner using the very well-stocked kitchen. After dinner we would all sit around the dining room table to play board games. We all found plenty of ways to keep ourselves relaxed and/or entertained while at the cabin. Most of us didn’t even keep our phones on us because we were too busy enjoying the cabin/area and each others’ company (a rare thing in this day and age). Idaho Springs is just at the bottom of the part of the mountain where the cabin is located, and has a great grocery store, varied restaurants, and activities. Denver is only about 45-60 minutes away, but you won’t feel the need to go unless you absolutely have to. Zedi was always there if/when we needed him but also let us enjoy the cabin peacefully unless we reached out.

Well stocked in a great area

The cabin is at high altitude, in a quiet area. There IS some construction on new cabins in the area, so be prepared for a little construction noise. Lots of wildlife, squirrels, rabbits, birds, etc. Didn't see any deer or moose. We suspect hammering noise perhaps scares them to a different area? Thus cabin is VERY well appointed and well stocked. 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, washer and dryer, Keurig and Mr Coffee coffeemakers and a dishwasher. NOT a lot of nightclubs or bars nearby, nearest groceries are about 12 miles away. You CAN get trout there if you have bad luck catching your own. Best if you want to relax, hike and experience nature. With 3 bedrooms and a loft, it is a great place for a group to bring kids and explore Colorado. I don't recommend kids below 10 years old, since I wouldn't want a young child to fall from the loft, it would be quite a fall. Host is responsive and available. Overall a great experience. ONE LAST THING. If you have breathing problems, this is above 10,000 feet. It might NOT be right for you if you have problems at high altitudes. Remember, pilots are required to use oxygen above 10,000 feet.

A fabulous cabin in a great location

Stayed here in late may- early June with our family of four. Weve stayed in this area before and love it because it's close to everything, especially St Marys glacier trail head, about a half mile around the corner. We would go out in the morning for a nice hike (St marys, 7:30 mine trail in silver plume, Georgetown lake, echo lake...) and then shop and eat in idaho springs and Georgetown. In the afternoons we could come back and enjoy the peace and quiet on the sunny deck. Neighborhood is very quiet and the surrounding scenery is beautiful and stunning. Since my wife has RA, her mobility is often limited and always unpredictable -- so I have to choose a cabin where she can still enjoy the vacation and environment of she's in too much pain and can't get away from the cabin. Well, that was the case on a few days and she still had a wonderful time on vacation because of the location and coziness of the cabin. Zedi and Irfan have provided a wonderful place for your family to stay and has just about every amenity you would want for your mountain. We used the fireplace when the power went put due to an unusual heavy snow fall. And my wife says the heated toilet seat and bidet made this cabin extra luxurious! Zedi was so kind and considerate to let me have some family visit from Denver and they enjoyed their evening with us in this place. Zedi was always very responsive whenever I had a question and especially in keeping me up to date with things when the power went out (due to circunstances beyond his control). In spite of this hiccup, we had a most enjoyable time at the Kokand cabin. Thanks Zedi and Irfan! Lord willing, we'd love to stay here again.

Snow mountain

If you’re looking for a nice cabin up in the mountains this is it. We booked a trip in late spring and the place was still 3-4ft deep in snow.

AMAZING Hosts and Property- Ill be back!

This was the perfect getaway where I truly was able to relax and unwind with a great book and the cozy fire place! The host were my saving grace as I was not able to get up the hill with my 4x4 as it was extremely icy when I arrived. I called them and explained and they were able to send someone to get me settled in. They also cam out and shoveled and made sure I had everything I needed. I also took a hike at St. Mary's Glacier as its truly just up the road. Very excited to come back here!

Wonderful cabin near some amazing hikes and views

In short, the cabin has all the necessities to make your short or long stay comfortable. All the pots and pans you could want for cooking and even an Insta Pot. Plenty of extra towels, etc. There is a firepit table on the deck and a separate real firepit on the property grounds. We had a great time spending a week at the cabin. Just watch out for that altitude sickness.
