We knew the cabin was beautiful from the photos and, having been to the Rockies before we had an idea of where we would be staying. However, from the moment we pulled up (after a 14 hour drive) and saw the soft fairy lights on the porch, the living room light had been left on for us, and they had soft music playing as we entered…we fell in love! Check in was so easy, check out was even easier! The cabin is beautiful and fully stocked. My daughter and I had a grand time cooking and baking while there.
My husband and I took the kids around the Rockies to show them the area and everyone had a blast! When we would come “home” after a day out we would start a fire in the fireplace, start a movie for the family, while I would cook a delicious dinner using the very well-stocked kitchen. After dinner we would all sit around the dining room table to play board games. We all found plenty of ways to keep ourselves relaxed and/or entertained while at the cabin. Most of us didn’t even keep our phones on us because we were too busy enjoying the cabin/area and each others’ company (a rare thing in this day and age).
Idaho Springs is just at the bottom of the part of the mountain where the cabin is located, and has a great grocery store, varied restaurants, and activities. Denver is only about 45-60 minutes away, but you won’t feel the need to go unless you absolutely have to. Zedi was always there if/when we needed him but also let us enjoy the cabin peacefully unless we reached out.
