Within the property are two bedrooms one with kingsize bed and one with 2x single zip and link divan beds (which can be a super kingsize on request if 2 couples booking). There is also a kitchen, and a living/dining area with a wood burner. To the front of the property is a large lawned area, as well as ample off-road parking. Outside, guests have the use of a summerhouse and decking area. Rowan Cottage makes a wonderful base for a family or two couples to explore this exciting area of Scotland. With its simple ground floor layout, Rowan cottage is ideal for younger families as well as people who have additional needs.
Huntly can be found situated alongside the river Deveron, surrounded by the marvellous Scottish countryside and plenty of activity. Boasting history at its centre in its magnificent Castle and the Brander Museum, and its being part of the famous Whisky Trail, it offers something for everyone. Take a stroll through the Clashindarroch Forest, or dive into adventure with some roller skiing. Close to the towns of Keith and Dufftown with even more exciting attractions, Huntly is a great base for your Scottish adventure.
There is even more to see and do in just a bit further out. Be sure to visit Stonehaven during your stay; Dunnottar Castle is a fascinating, historic site with stories to uncover, castle trails, stroll along the scenic harbour or take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. The wonderful city of Aberdeen lies in the south, where a bustling harbour welcomes you for an afternoon at the Maritime Museum, a wander through one of forty five parks and gardens. To the west you will find the beautiful coastline of Cullen, Portsoy and Banff, or go further to see the simply stunning Cairngorm mountain range brimming with fun activities and the world famous whisky.
