Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was getting a little tired but everything we needed was there.
Staff were friendly .
Food was absolutely amazing. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We only had the continental breakfast included with the room as we couldn't have eaten any more!

Excellent pub with accommodation ,outstanding food and a great price
We arrived on a really busy Sunday afternoon the pub was packed but the lady who checked us in was lovely and welcoming and showed us straight to our room. On arrival to the room it was spotless clean and really cool with the air conditioning on ( which was a god send as it was a really hot day) .They had upgraded us to a room with a hot tub which was lovely.
Went into pub later for sunday lunch which was amazing but very over priced. Granddaughter loved the pool but there were 3 boys in there that had sneeked in they were very destructive throwin sun loungers in pool and upturning plant pots on decking but once barman saw them asked them to leave immediately.
Breakfast next day was continental but had lots of different cereal to choose from, different bread for toast, fruit etc only thing was milk in fridge had turned sour but once told this was rectifed immediately.
All staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you.
We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend to friends and family.
Straightforward budget accommodation, in one of a row of rooms behind the pub, each with a small porch facing the parking lot. In a fairly quiet location (but thin walls if you have noisy neighbors), comfortable with soft mattress and pillows. The owner is working his way through renovating. Free breakfast is simple continental, includes fancy coffees.
Food was amazing all the staff were very friendly was a lovely little find will be coming back to stay again and defo back for food

"A work in progress"
A "work in progress". The rooms are motel style in the car park at the rear of the pub.
Most of the rooms do not seem to have been finished completely, with odd combinations of beds etc. Shower rooms not particularly clean.
Lots of work being undertaken at rear of pub and in the surrounding grounds (piles of debris everywhere).
Swimming pool looked ok.
Very friendly people working there, gave us a fan because it was so hot. Sorted out the wifi too. Big bed and big, smart tv. Plenty of parking

Disliked: Room comfort
This was one of the most horrible stays that I’ve had in a long time. Started out great with a really good dinner in the pub with excellent service. When I was taken to my room, I noticed that the door barely had a safety lock on it (concerning as a woman traveling solo). There were flies al over the room that I couldn’t get out. Worst part of all, another group of guests decided to use the hot tub, right adjacent to my room, from 2200 to almost 0500 while talking loudly the entire time. I got no sleep at all and was expected to work all the next day. If you’re going to provide services such as a hot tub and pool, there need to be hours of operation for the benefit of all. Could hardly wait to get of there!!
Welcomed on arrival lovely room & services explained. Dining in pub was very good & very sociable. Staff were a pleasure to be with.
Only down side car or taxi (expensive to/from town)
Would stay again no doubt
