"The cottage is location worked perfectly for our group, even though we stayed in late November, we enjoyed the morning lake views. The cottage itself is as described, tasty decoration. Kitchen was equipped sufficiently to meet our 10 people. Sheets and beds were comfortable, I only wish we had few more bathroom towels . Overall we had wonderful time. "

"The cottage was in a good location to get to things around Keuka and Seneca lakes. Having access to the water was a great plus. The host gave very good directions for how to find the driveway to the cottage and the best road to take to get to it as it was a bit hidden and Google maps always directed to go on a different road. We also enjoyed the lack of TV/electronics as it was a good way to enjoy the scenery and unplug for the weekend. We did have to bring our own linens and towels which would have been nice to know when booking but otherwise not a big issue. Overall a great place and lovely weekend."

"Beautiful location and wonderful house. The first floor and second floor fit our needs perfectly. We did need to call for some help with TV and internet. Internet was resolved within an hour of our arrival. Maintenance arrived next day at 3 as we requested. Ben was great. He helped us with TV and minor lamp issue. It was a great time away for all of us."

"We stayed here with our teenage children. The teenagers enjoyed hanging out in the beach cottage. The dock & beach area was large enough for our group to enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking, & jet skiing. Yes, as many of the reviews note there are many stairs at this property. If walking / stairs are an issue for you, this is not the place for you. The owner was very responsive. It was indeed a "cozy retreat" for our family. "

"The Heron Way property was perfect for summer family week. All 3 of my adult children with their spouses and little ones and me living together was like old times and future times all in one. The house was plenty big enough for high energy kids an adult relaxation. Close to the Keuka state park, nice beach and playground for kids. I was fully pleased with the whole week."

"The view is breath taking . Unfortunately the couches and bed were extremely uncomfortable. All of the beds are very worn and thin. The springs jabbed into my hips and back all night. My mother in law is 70 years old and she didn’t get much sleep in her bed because of the same. The bedroom off the kitchen has a door that leads into the living room. The doorknob to that door falls off and you have to turn and pull tediously in order to open the door otherwise it falls off and your stuck. While vacationing you want to be able to kick your feet up and relax after being in the sun all day on the lake but unfortunately that was not the case. The couches both were extremely uncomfortable and older. When you sat on both of them you were sitting on the frame. The couch beds you pull out under the couches were also very uncomfortable. I want to mention the third queen bed in the sunroom is not comfortable either and there is no AC in that room. It is not insulated. It was too hot for anyone to sleep in that room. There was a heat advisory for two of the seven days we stayed. It got up to 101 and inside that room was ridiculously hot. I don’t think it’s fair to say this is a three bedroom that comfortable sleeps 6 people. The listing says cable / satellite channels are included but there was no cable and no satellite. The TV is not a smart TV so you can’t stream anything or watch anything at all. They had a pest control company come and spray in the middle of our stay!DISSAPOINTED"

"The property overall was great. The house was located on a private road with about 10 other lakefront properties. It was walking distance to some trails which was nice to hike with the family. The house was well maintained on the inside and met our needs with kids and adults. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary pots, pans and utensils to make dinner and breakfast. The house contained life vests in a bin in the laundry room that could be used for the paddle boat. The playroom with ping pong table was a huge hit with the kids. The only minor complaint would be the cobwebs covering the outside furniture and entry way to the house. Found a broom to take care of them. Would rent again if looking for a nice house to relax on the lake."
