Countryside setting and under 5 miles from the stunning North Norfolk beaches and coastal walks, The Nook has been lovingly refurbished and restyled using reclaimed materials and vintage finds along with the practicalities of modern living.
On entering The Nook you will walk in to a well equipped handmade kitchen. With KitchenAid appliances and an oven and 2 ring hob. You will have everything you need if you want to prepare any meal for 2.
There is a Grind coffee machine for all your favourite coffee shop drinks at your fingertips. With compostable pods, we are always considering the environment too, so please dispose of them in the recycling bin. There is also a Roberts Bluetooth Speaker which you can connect your own devices to for that perfect Roberts Radio sound whilst dancing in the kitchen.
The kitchen is well-stocked with crockery and utensils and there are oils, sauces, vinegars and salt & pepper for you to use as required. Plenty of cups, mugs and teapots along with a cafetière on the shelves to suit whichever mood of drink you fancy at the time.
We have created a little corner of the kitchen for shoe storage and coats. Please use whenever possible.
On through to the lounge, once you have ducked under the beam, you will be greeted with a very comfortable sofa positioned purposely in front of the log burner - perfect for those snuggling up times, morning, noon or night, with 2 additional 100% wool blankest provided for those even cosier nights.
As well as a Smart TV with all your favourite streaming services including a TV Licence for iPlayer, you will find in the industrial cupboard (sourced from the Russell Scientific factory in Norfolk) under the stairs, a few games suitable for 2 players. Perfect for those days of relaxation where staying in is the preferred order of the day.
There are plenty of industrial lamps around the lounge to create that cosy atmosphere that somewhere like The Nook demands. There are brighter ceiling lights that also set off gorgeous shapes around the different rooms.
Under the window there is a reclaimed dining table for 2. A perfect space for those nights that you don't want to venture out to the many eateries in the area.
Free WiFi is available at The Nook.
The shower room is downstairs and has a toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and electric shower with luxurious Christy towels. Eco friendly vegan toiletries are provided along with Bamboo toilet paper - again, conscious of the environment. The wallpaper in the shower room is from the 1950's. A vintage find made of Japanese Bamboo. We think it's rather stunning.
In the large airy upstairs bedroom with double aspect windows, there are wonderful original floorboards adding character to this spacious room. A feature mural adorns one wall creating a calming environment. There are 2 reading areas within the bedroom, one with views over the hills of Sedgeford. There are binoculars and a floor cushion provided for those far reaching views. The other chair is perfect for enjoying that morning cup of tea or coffee, when you're not quite ready to venture downstairs. A dressing table provides mirror, stool and drawer along with hairdryer in the vintage metal deeds box. The centrepiece of the room is an antique brass double bed which has a Gilbert White Mattress, a Bamboo duvet and pillows with 100% cotton bedding. There is a lovely reclaimed peg rack housing vintage coat hangers from London stores on which to hang your clothes. There are also 2 cupboards for the items you don't want on show.
As you approach The Nook you will find a parking space for one car next to the full log store which it at your disposal. Please do not park anywhere else within the courtyard as the other spaces are for our lovely neighbours.
Directly outside the cottage, there is a decking area with a reclaimed table and chairs, perfect for those slow mornings of coffee and pastries. Across from the parking area there is an enclosed garden with further dining opportunities.
The Nook Guidebook will share great restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, beaches etc., all worthy of a visit. Worth a look through for inspiration of where to go today! There is a Compendium of Norfolk at your disposal too for attractions and places to visit further afield in the beautiful county of Norfolk.
