Custom Home in a Great Location with Outdoor Hot Tub

This charming three bedroom, two bathroom custom-built timber frame home sits on an acre and is just ten miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. With three bedrooms and a queen size sofa sleeper, it will comfortably sleep 7 people (five privately). The kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience and the home is equipped with WIFI internet service and cable television. The back deck offers a peaceful scene into the woods, with a grill ready for you to BBQ. The master suite is located up it's own set of stairs and includes a queen size bed, hand-tiled bathroom, cable television, a private upper level deck, and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The second and third bedrooms are located at the top of an open-air handmade wooden spiral staircase with full and twin beds respectively, built right into the walls. Additionally, there is a soothing meditation loft beneath the skylights which can be reached from the top of a built in ladder off the second floor. There is a television and DVD player in the living area along with a woodstove, perfect for curling up on those chilly Montana nights. The home has a private eight-person hot tub and a fire pit with a fully stocked supply of wood and is situated just a block off the middle fork of the Flathead River. The home is ten miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park, and only 14 miles from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell. With easy access to Highway 2, this one-of-a-kind timber frame home is perfect for a summer vacation to Glacier National Park or Whitefish Mountain Resort, and is close to many other attractions around the Flathead Valley of Montana. This cabin is accessed via front doorway stairs, and has stairs to each bedroom, with the exception of the living area sofa sleeper. This cabin also has multiple areas that may not be safe for an unsupervised toddler, as there are ladders, and open-air lofts around the main living area.

Close to Glacier NP

Great location. Easy drive to Glaicer entrance. Unique layout, climb steps to bathroom. Back yard was great with hot tub. Local restaurants had good food and drinks.

This place is as unique as described. Really a cool house. The host was awesome to work with. The location is great, just outside the park and close to so many great amenities! The hot tub was fantastic to come back to after long days hiking in Glacier. We loved it!

We loved this uniquely designed house. It was in a great location and easy to get to. We loved exploring the house and the kids had to take turns sleeping in each room. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike. The back yard was beautifully landscaped and so peaceful. We did smores one night and the kids loved it!

What A Wonderful Place

This property and the property manager were absolutely amazing. This had a great location and was very quiet. Easy driving distance to multiple things and a big yard for the kids to play.

The best hide and seek house ever!

Unique is an understatement! This house feels like pieces were added on as time and budget allowed so not everything matches from room to room but we enjoyed it! There were so many places to hide to scare Grandma or get a few minutes of peace and quiet. The hot tub was nice also! My only complaint/suggestion would be photos or a listing of things supplied. There was all kinds of spices and coffee and appliances from a slow cooker to blender that we didnt know there would be as we stopped at the store before checking in. Take the extra few minutes to drive to the store in Columbia Falls. Much larger selection and better prices.

Montana Visit

Overall was very impressed with the stay. Hot tub was great and a nice accent. The beds are very stiff and it was hard to sleep comfortably on them through the night. However other than that it was a great experience.

Great stay in Hungry Horse

This house is perfectly located in beautiful Hungry Horse. It is close to shops, diners, hiking trails and water access. The hot tub was an added bonus to relax in after long days exploring. Holly was easy to work with and very fast to respond to a few questions we had during our stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

We loved this house and hope to be able to rent it again in the future. The only negative would be the two loft areas that do not have safety railings. When we had family visit while we were there, these aren’t safe places for children or families to be. I would recommend you put railings up. However, we loved the house and would absolutely stay again. The wood-burning stove, saved the day since the power went out for quite a bit after a large snowstorm hit.

Unique getaway

House was cozy with many unique features. We loved the lofts, hot tub and wood burning stove. Quiet neighborhood and close to GNP. House was super clean. Perfect place for our family winter getaway.

Excellent property close to Glacier National Park

The host had a very intense list of do's and don'ts for the property, with the potential of added costs to your stay - however, these were all how I would expect someone to treat the property, so it's sad to know people have abused it in the past. The host was very responsive to any questions asked, and had lots of information at the property for things to do on the days you were not relaxing. Had all the items needed for a stay minus toiletries, so make sure to bring your own. Would definitely stay here again for the location and uniqueness of the property.

Unique Retreat, Hungry Horse, MT

Absolutely charming, quiet property! Wonderful yard for relaxing in the evenings, if you're back by then. Easy jaunt to Glacier National Park. I can see returning just to enjoy the quiet escape. The wooded setting very much appeals to me.

Loved it!

This house is so adorable - the photos don't do it justice. We were a group of 4 adults and we all enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We did very little cooking, but the kitchen was very well stocked. I'd stay here again for sure!

The puctures were great but the property is so much better in person!

I looked forward to this trip for months. Arriving at the property in person was everything the photos promise and more. The beds were comfortable, the setting peaceful, and we had everything we needed there. If we ever get to come back I will definitely try to book again.

Good, clean place

Nice, clean house. We had 5 adults and enjoyed the stay. Master bed slept 2 very comfortably. Small steps to master bath. Other beds weren't large enough for 2 adults so we used the pull out in family room. Very close to GNP. We were too tired from hiking to use the hot tub or very nice fire pit.

Amazing Cabin

We loved this home. It is actually prettier than the pictures. The outdoor surroundings are gorgeous. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit after a long day of hiking. The cabin had everything we needed. Just keep in mind there are stairs to both bedrooms and you’ll have to maneuver stairs at night for bathrooms. Good to keep in mind for older or younger ones. We would definitely come back.

Wonderful Cabin for my HoneyMoon

I checked into the cabin with my valentine bride to start our honeymoon. With a February wedding in Montana, it was nice to park right in the garage and not have to deal with the snow or ice when loading or unloading the car. We enjoyed a cozy cabin with a warm fire in the stove; and time in the hot tub while it snowed. We appreciated the treehouse like feel and unique architecture of the house and snowmobiled with a nearby outfitter in Glacier National Park.

Great Stay with a few minor issues

We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful home with lots of character. The hot tub was great after long hikes and a whitewater rafting trip. The backyard is very private for relaxing. It was nice to put the car in a garage too. My group of 3 had plenty of space to spread out and relax. We also cooked in the kitchen, where everything necessary was provided. There’s a few minor things we noticed that could be improved upon - For side sleepers, the mattresses were very firm - There is a limited amount of blinds/curtains, including in the bedroom and bathrooms which is not great for privacy or light coming through. - The exterior door to the hot tub doesn’t have a secure lock, but rather a chain which leaves a gap to the outside. - The upstairs bedrooms are not completely walled off from the living room. This allows light and noise to come through very easily from the living room below, and from the noisy wood stairs. - The hot tub was great, but there was a lot of chemical in it to the point my group’s skin was drying out and eyes were burning after use. Also, the rubber headrests for the hot tub was coming apart which left debris in the water. - Our time at the rental (5 days) was interrupted by the owner coming twice and the maintenance crew once. The owner had to fix the tv channels and drop something off, one of which I think could have waited but she let us know. We did not know the maintenance crew was coming, and were surprised to see them on the property.

Really Good Stay!

MT Review My wife, 4 month old, and I stayed here for the first time in mid March. Hungry Horse is a great location logistically for the West Glacier area. The property is in town with neighboring residential properties very close by, but it was a quiet atmosphere. While the majority of roads in the area were plowed and dry, the side roads of Hungry Horse were still significantly covered in snow and ice due to the town being located in a valley and temperatures still dropping below freezing at night. The driveway and walk way to the front door were still covered in a sheet of ice for the duration of our stay, so we just had to tread carefully. The driveway is flat, so you can manage with 2WD vehicles. The house itself is unique and a little bit dated, but clean and spacious. Could use some light switch labels in my opinion. We used the upstairs rooms for sleeping and the master bathroom for showering. Pack-n-play was provided; that was a huge help for us. The downstairs bathroom adjacent to the main living space would get very cold as well as the mud room. We used the wood stove extensively; it will raise the upstairs room temperatures considerably. Make sure that flume handle parallels the floor. Kitchen was decent, but you have to watch the stove. The right front burner is either all the way on or off making for some high speed cooking. Other burners worked fine. Also, would have loved to have a plastic/non-metal spatula for flipping pancakes. Otherwise, a well stocked kitchen. Hot tub was a little dated, but worked well. The cover is very heavy and not attached to a folding hinge, so make sure you work out before lifting solo or team lift (there’s ice on the ground out there). Laundry worked great. Host was great!

This house has character! Is a custom house in a quiet neighborhood. Not a far drive from the park or whitefish. Very close to gas station and supermarket. Has spacious yard, comfortable mattresses, great laundry space, and met our needs for cooking dinner.

Perfect Glacier stay!!!

Booked this adorable cabin for myself, my husband and 3 of our friends while we visited Glacier National Park, we were only about 20 min away from the park west entrance which was perfect everyday. Hot tub was incredible after our long hikes, the fire pit was used every night and the boys loved being able to chop their own wood, all rooms were super clean, and kitchen was well stocked. We were super sad to leave!!! Thank you so much!
