"We asked to be upgraded to a better room, for extra. No Hotels.com upgrade benefits here. We were happy with the new room size and view. These are old buildings and we understand the challenges. The one person that made our stay perfect was Dario, at the hotel restaurant. Our dinners and breakfasts were perfect thanks to him. His customer service skills were outstanding. The food was excellent. I found parking fees over priced, but oh well. "

"This was our second hotel in Taormina and it blew our first one away for the same price. The room was well designed and contemporary, and the amenities were first rate. There was a large terrace off the Lobby with a bar and amazing views over the water, another one floor down for breakfast, and another two floors down with a good size infinity edge pool.
