"Property was larger than expected. It was clean and well furnished and provided a lovely break. Its in a very remote location, which is what we were looking for. Very dog friendly. some noise from the property upstairs but wasn't too intrusive."

"An amazing place, the kids and dog loved it. So much freedom with it been locked gates and fence. Great selection of toys games and outdoor equipment theyve really thought of everything. Highly recommended for anyone with children. The space inside and outside the property is amazing no one was in anyones way loads of space to do your own thing. Doesnt matter about the weather there is enough things to keep you occupied in all weathers. Local aldi and coop within 10 min drive.Cant wait to go...

"Perfect for a lone traveller with some mobility issues to have a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. Useful supplies of milk, tea coffee and a Nespresso machine. Toiletries supplied for the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. A guide book to the cottage contained lots of useful information to the cottage and surrounding area. It was a very relaxing couple of days and I hope to be back next year. Thank you Claire for making it so pleasant."

"We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!"

Visiting the on-site and fascinating Vindolanda roman ruins and museum is an absolute must when visiting here (this is not dog friendly). "5 friends seeking a relaxing getaway and we found this little gem. Booking and communication was excellent we had to change our dates at short notice which was no problem. The lodge was beautiful, so many little touches from decor to candles and was very well stocked with everything you could need. The setting is stunning and we really enjoyed the wildlife and our little red squirrel pal who came each day. Would absolutely stay again. "
