Great Property
Our overall stay was great. The property may be pet friendly and the sofas didn’t seem to get vacuumed, but nothing that would keep us from staying there again. Management was great. We had two days where the pool did not open at the time it says, but again nothing important. The property only has one tv, that for us was a negative having a large group with young adults. Kitchen was well equipped. Beach/pool towels, golf clubs, beach chairs, washer and dryer very important.

Beautiful Views.
We enjoyed the condo and all the beach toys and towels. I would recommend to add in the disclosures only one parking space available with the unit and second vehicles are required to pay $15/night. Plus, one bath was missing a bath rug and another did not have any hand towels. There was plenty of soap and shampoo. The beach views were amazing and the las palmas property was beautiful. The condo itself needs a few repairs, but overall it was a great rental for the price.

Amazing and so worth it
When they say steps from the beach they are not lying. Literally this building is right beside 2 separate paths leading to the beach. Check in was a breeze and instructions were spot on. Condo was clean and stocked. There is a huge shelf of beach toys, chairs, snorkels, and more. Good layout with bathrooms and rooms.

House was well equipped with towels & linens; beach toys, chairs, umbrella, & towels; kitchen could use additional glasses & kids cups but otherwise well stocked; grill & dishwasher were great; house needs some repairs from water damage including paint, window tracks & seals. AC worked well. Pool beautiful, contracting company staff could have been more friendly.

Great location and perfect for our family
The proximity to the beach was unreal - couldn’t get any closer which was perfect, especially with two toddlers. The condo was updated, but could use some TLC. Cracked stairs on the upper level, chipped paint in many of the rooms, etc. However, it did not affect our experience overall. The kitchen and “extras” (beach chairs, golf clubs, laundry supplies, beach and bath towels) were all VERY well stocked. We had to call the property management mid-stay due to a leaky vent, which was promptly tended to and fixed by maintenance. We had a wonderful time and we would definitely go back in the future!

The location is very good but the apartment is in great need of maintenance. Half of the light on the kitchen don’t work. Stairs are broken, walls have signs of water leak. An electrical outlet is open and my grand daughter almost got electrocuted there. If all of this is fixed the apartment is ok

Great location, affordable, condo needed a little love
Palmas Del Mar was a convenient and comfortable home base for us. This condo was situated right on the ocean (amazing views!) and just steps from the pool. But we did have to travel to other beaches to avoid the piles of sargassum. We appreciated the small grocery in the plaza and enjoyed delicious meals at the neighborhood restaurants. It was quiet when we were there. I think we were the only ones staying in the entire building that week so we had no problems with parking. The condo was larger than I was expecting, a nice surprise. Our family of 5 had more than enough room to stretch out. It’s a 3 bedroom unit but has a loft with a large and comfortable futon on the third floor with a full bath nearby so it really could have worked as a 4 bed. The beds and bedding were very comfortable (could use some higher quality pillows). The master bathroom looked like it had been recently remodeled and was also very nice. It was fully stocked with bath and beach towels, bathroom and kitchen essentials. We were there for a week so we definitely appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit as well. So why just 3 stars overall? I own and adore old homes and have stayed in vacation rentals across Europe. A few spots of peeling paint, leaky windows, interior water marks or even minor wall cracks don’t scare me - it’s understandable for this place which takes a beating right on the ocean. But we had a couple of problems that needed attention. 1. We found the plumbing under the sink leaked badly. We alerted property management and they planned to send someone out but it ended up being faster for my husband to just fix it himself. 2. I think the people who stayed ahead of us used the kitchen a lot - it sort of had a lingering smell of fried food. 3. On the day we checked out, we woke up to a large puddle outside of the master bedroom which looked to be a problem with A/C condensation leaking through a grate in the ceiling. Property management planned to send someone out after we checked out. 4. Upon checking out and turning out lights and locking doors, we learned that one of the doors to a bedroom balcony had been unlocked the entire time we were there and we weren’t able to lock it with the keys provided. A little scary, or a testament to the safety of the neighborhood. 5. The unit also needs lightbulbs replaced. These problems were likely an anomaly, but our experience nonetheless. Has potential for 5 stars, especially at the price we paid.

Beautiful location and views, but...
It sure is a dream location. You can't imagine how beautiful the ocean views are -- practically from every room. You have your choice of ocean breeze or air conditioning. But... Downsides were that the owner "accidentally" forgot to remove his car from the only parking space that is allocated to the property. To me that is an enormous no-no, especially during the busiest holiday of the entire summer! We were constantly scrambling to find parking for our vehicle, mostly by being forced to use the parking spaces belonging to other units. (the three guest parking spots were monopolized by work crews who were doing construction). For the price we paid, that felt like stealing -- it is reason enough not to ever go back to this rental unit. Also, we found a big wad of hair in the shower drain when we arrived. I had to pull the long, gooey hairball out of the drain. Given the exorbitant cleaning fees, one expected better. Would have normally given only 2 or 3 stars, except that the view was wonderful.

Location, location, location!
Perfect get away for our group. Lovely multistory townhome. We found just sitting out on the balcony enjoying the unobstructed view of ocean night and day was a pleasure. You really can’t get closer to the beach!

Well located, loved hearing the waves sleeping. The surf was just right for boogie boarding. Enjoyed getting into town for food, although meals on the very large property were nice. Thank you for the use of the unit- no real issues, but would make patio available from main room, and add two more boogie boards.

Beautiful beachfront property. Our unit was all that we needed and more. While not centrally located to other activities per se, it was not that far to drive to where we wanted to go and gave us the opportunity to see the countryside and surrounding areas. Closer to the Ceiba for the ferry/harbor and it really is just beautiful.

Exactly as we expected
Going to Puerto Rico and Palmas Del Mar was a questionable vacation for our family. We had not been in PR for many years and the aftermath of two storms made us a little weary about our trip. After arriving in PDM we were surprised to see how much damage had been repaired and how much damaged still remained. So, our expectations were wobbly but the apartment/condo delivered. We arrived in the afternoon had a little something to eat in the Plaza and grabbed our golf cart (a must if not just for the fun of getting around). We woke up the next morning to an amazing view of the water from the LR and master bedroom. All of the rooms were comfortable including the nook loft. The utensils/plates/glasses and cookware were there but the plates and glasses could use a little updating. We got our key to the Pool area which was clean and quiet (Pool attendant in attendance) which was great. It is surrounded by concrete walls and a gate but private and well maintained. Our only wish was that the pool would be closer to the ocean and not the golf course. Pleas note that for a fee you can use the beach club, golf club and tennis club which we opted not to use. Several days we went the beach (chairs and boogie boards provided) even though the water was full of debris from the westerly prevailing winds... We really enjoyed the apartment/condo for Christmas vacation, we ate out a few nights but mostly enjoyed cooking food we brought from the states (frozen and thawed thru the week). All our requests were handled by the management company quickly. Please note Puerto Rico is still rebuilding and there are some site noises but nothing wasn't to be expected. Give it a shot, I am sure you will be happy to get this resilient part of our nation back on its feet. PS If you are a golfer this is a must destination!
