"This is our Second summer of having our grandma camp out here. Although there were problems which were beyond the ability of the owners because of the heavy rains and high water, they worked very well with us and getting everything situated. My grandkids love this place. And I talked about getting someplace bigger because the kids are getting bigger, they said don’t worry about us. Grandma will gladly stay here. They love this place and don’t want to change it. The owners are very kind and considerate. I’m semi Handicapped and they let us use their golf cart to get down to the lake. That wasn’t even in the add. Thank you so much for the great time. The kids had so much fun fishing and swimming."

"This facility came in clutch for me and my family on a long road trip. We had to leave our previous hotel after walking in and checking the beds for bed bugs turned up bed bug stains. We ran out of there as fast as we could but had nowhere to go. The kind woman on staff at the counter was extremely helpful and put us on the 3rd floor at my request even though it was 10 o clock at night and we believe the room to have been a bit of an upgrade from what we had hastily booked on the drive over. Her kindness was an extremely welcome and appreciated show of hospitality for us tired travelers. The room was spotless and the AC worked well to cool it down quickly. The Candlewood offered us a perfect night of sleep and all the amenities in the room we could have possibly needed. I can't say enough good about this hotel. The only thing I'd change is the lack of offering for a Continental breakfast. However, the friendliness, service, hospitality and terrific nights sleep were well worth the price of an admission and we would return for another stay in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, I didn't catch her name but the woman who helped us check in is a gem and I hope management knows this and treats her accordingly. 6/21 9:30-10pm check-in"

"I have stayed at a couple of other Oyo hotels; both left a lot to be desired. This one was actually very nice. Cleaned, shower worked, tv had a remote and both worked, mattress was acceptable."

"Excellent property, my family had such a terrific time. Young ones fished, caught several fish and swam from the break of dawn till dark. Only universal complaint was no drapes to mitigate afternoon sun in the main part of property. Otherwise, highly recommend this place for a family stay."

"We spent 4 days & 3 nights at The Magnolias for our annual girls' trip. Most of our time was spent in the lovely sunroom. We also enjoyed the parlor, well-equipped kitchen/dining room and touring Jefferson in the golf cart. Beds were comfortable. The roomy carport protected our 3 cars during a storm. There was plenty of additional parking in the driveway. The host had a book with a range of activities and restaurant recommendations, but speaking with her yielded the best places with the latest updates. Train horns were frequent but rarely loud. The town of Marshall is just 15 minutes away with more amenities and restaurants. Overall, a great house and a great host!"
