This was a great property for our family to celebrate a wedding at Church Hill Inn. This was a great lake property (even in the fall) with plenty of space for our whole family to gather!

We had a great time. House was everything we could have hoped for. Large enough that we could all gather comfortably inside when the weather didn't cooperate. Will definitely be back when we come north for other family events.

Another great trip!
For the last 3 years we’ve brought 9-10 people to the cabin to stay for the week and ice fish the surrounding lakes. Accommodations are always great, communication is always excellent and we always have an amazing time. This place is great for large groups! We love the host!

Beautiful house on east bay of Hubbard lake. Had a wonderful time with friends and family. Ice conditions were good. Our tournament went well. Caught a few perch. Already looking forward to next year.

It was a excellent stay, had good time with group of families. It perfectly works for 4 families. Just 30 min distance to Alpena. The facilities provided in the house are too good. The lake view is awesome and enjoyed the sun rise in early morning with lake view.

We were looking for a place with lots of space for our family to spend a long weekend ice fishing. We couldn’t have been more impressed with this property, and house. Lots of room for the kids to play and even more room for the rest of the family to sit and relax!

Very nice, beautiful lodge on Hubbard lake. Had an Excellent time fishing with friends and family. Definitely recommend the lodge. Large enough to accommodate everyone. Fishing was pretty good. Weather was nice. Wonderful weekend!

Beautiful house. Numerous plates, glasses and silverware. Only concern is that part of the instructions was to wash, dry and fold all towels but the dryer took over 2 hours to dry the towels and check out time was at 10am and the towels were not done in time to be able to fold before checkout.

Excellent Venue - Just needs a little updating
This is a great VRBO with lots of room and great views of the lake. I reserve it every year for Easter Breakfast for my extended family. A couple of things could use some attention. This year there was no cable, only streaming services. It would have been nice to know that prior to my visit so I could plan accordingly. The furniture in the living rooms is outdated and worn down. Not the most comfortable. I also spent a bit of time fixing things that were not maintained (shower handle falling off, TV connections unclear, electric griddle does not work, etc.). Just minor things that I would rather not be doing on vacation. Also, the steps from the garage to the house need to be replaced. The are home made and not safe.

Fantastic stay at this place. The cabin is huge and spacious- so it is terrific for a group. Communication with owner/caretaker is very good. Everything we needed for our stay. Definitely bring some water shoes - area is rocky walking in the water- but water was warm and clear! Struck out fishing. :( Maybe next time!

This is a very large, yet livable, house. The kitchen and dining area allowed our 12 person group to cook and eat together. Sleeping arrangements were great and having two bathrooms on each floor was awesome. The yard was spacious and allowed us to play plenty of badminton with the lake view. Overall a very good experience and the host was very responsive.

Annual friends trip
Great location on the lake and a big home for a large group. The home was very accommodating, but the AC could not keep up with the outside heat, especially the upstairs. The pontoon boat was not clean, so we did not use. Note to owner: provide a list of how to and where to instructions to renters (how to turn on TV and stereo system, fans, where to go for supplies and activities, etc.) around the area. One last thing, the tub/ shower was very slippery! One of our guests slipped and fell in the shower and hurt his leg, it could have been worst. Please put non-slip mats or some other traction in the showers to avoid injury. Just helpful suggestions, otherwise we appreciated your hospitality and communications prior to arrival!
