From the minute I arrived at Hummingbird Hideaway with my golden doodle Molly, we were made to feel welcomed! From the bowl of fruit on the table, the juices and fresh eggs in the refrigerator and well stocked pantry, I felt welcomed by this kind family. Kym, Gerald, Tracey and Kristen all extended a welcome to Molly and me, and we left feeling more like family than just 2 week guests at their little guest house! The property was beautiful and well maintained. Molly loved the fenced in yard, the chickens and the potbelly pigs! I loved the cozy feel of the house, the cooler temperature (10-20 degrees cooler than Phoenix), the ability to open the windows at night and have cool breezes flowing in and starry skies, and the absolute privacy of the Hideaway tucked back at the rear of a very large property loaded with mesquite trees and cottonwoods at the dry river bed. The house was just as expected from reading the listing! Everything was very clean, and turn-key ready. Kym helped me with understanding how to work both tvs, and was very helpful in answering any questions I might have, Gerald was fun to talk to as we shared information about the area, the Tracey was also helpful in answering questions. She also sent me home with a huge zucchini from the garden! Quite unexpected! Molly loved everyone and couldn't get enough of the attention they gave her, and we took daily walks over to see the chickens and mama and baby pigs. The Hideaway is ideally located for touring southeastern Arizona, including the Chiricahua National Monument, Patagonia and Patagonia Lake, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Nogales, Tubac and Tumacacori. We was difficult to leave and head home as the kind family bid us farewell. Their kindness was overflowing. Thank you Kym, Gerald, Tracey and Kristen! We had a great time!
