I really don't know where to start regarding this property. I'll start by saying BEWARE! It is located in, what looks like, a poor community. Upon arriving I witnessed a guy on a bicycle at one of the other houses making an exchange through the fence. I honestly believe it was a drug transaction. It felt extremely unsafe, the neighborhood is NOT being updated, this property is the single & only home that has been renovated. I'd even go so far to say that a few of the reviews before my own, may have been purchased.
When I arrived at the home, I could not access the property, there was a security gate to access the driveway, but there is no lock on it. So you are basically leaving your car as a sitting duck to crime overnight. I was not allowed to access the actual home until I sent a photo copy of my drivers license & a photo of my car showing my license plate. I stood in the hot sun until both were verified by the property manager. The owner has a SIX PAGE rule book/list that you must agree to before entering the property as well, It's beyond ridiculous. I felt violated, I stayed in 7 or 8 VRBO homes during 2020 alone, and never experienced that.
The property manager is actually someone that is overseas & manages the property virtually. In addition to that, the ring doorbell to the home does not actually ring inside the home when anyone arrives, its there just to watch & monitor you during your stay. Inside the home, there is another monitoring device, if you cough or laugh inside the home after 10pm, you get a text from the virtual manager, we were literally harassed about noise until 1am in the morning. We booked the property for a few ladies that were traveling into town for an event the following day. Lucky for us, we only had to stay in this sketchy neighborhood 1night.
This was the kicker though, I booked a 3 bedroom home, and when I arrived to the property there were only two rooms. The description on VRBO said 3 bedrooms, I was livid!!! Two people slept on the floor, I felt scammed! I contacted the owner & they took no responsibility, & stated VRBO was responsible for the error & I would need to contact them for any refund.
All females were in the home & there wasn't one full length mirror inside, it was tragic for 5 women getting dressed for an event. The trash can outside was filled with maggots & the stench coming from it smelled like there may have been a dead pet inside. Do yourself a favor & pass this place up quickly!
