I do NOT recommend the Hyatt. So many problems starting with a TWO hour wait for the complimentary shuttle bus from the airport but we were assured all three times we called that the shuttle was “on the way”. This property is in very bad shape with cracks and tears in the common area furniture, and broken pool loungers. Our room was ready and appeared clean, BUT the mattress was old and sagging, our towels were threadbare and some had holes in them, the shower head was cracked and the bathtub faucet was not attached securely to the wall. We had only scalding water in the shower and little to no pressure. Our shower curtain smelled of mildew and there was an overriding smell of mildew throughout the room. The sink drain plug was unusual to say the least and in order to close or open the drain plug you had to reach under the sink and pull on a metal rod. No place to put a bar of soap as there were no soap dishes and the soap slid all over the wet counter. The toilet seat had a large crack in it. Wow. The bar fridge was not anchored to anything so when you open the door, the bar fridge would fall forward. I moved the decorative carpet that was tucked under the couch only to find candy wrappers and a few broken pens with the large dust bunnies as they definitely did not vacuum that carpet. And the walls are definitely thin as we heard our neighbour’s alarm, tv and music. The positives; excellent pleasant, helpful staff and great breakfasts. Still, don’t book this hotel!

While I appreciated the spacious and clean room, with a comfortable bed that made for a pleasant stay, I was disappointed to find that the promised free airport shuttle was not available when I arrived. This miscommunication added unnecessary stress to my travel plans. Overall, the room itself was great, but the lack of the shuttle service was a letdown. I hope they can clarify this aspect for future guests.

I have stayed at many Hyatt Place hotels all over the US and this by far is a total disappointment to the Hyatt name brand. The staff was nice but that was about it. The tv channel selections were limited in comparison to other quality hotels. The carpets are dingy and look like they have never been cleaned. There was an odor of marijuana in the hallways. The grounds did not look well taken care of and it is evident from the gates/fences that are supposed to secure the facility were damaged and barely secured with a lock and chain. I will definitely NOT recommend ANYONE staying at this hotel location and hope that someone from Expedia or Hyatt reaches out to me or anyone else that has stayed there recently. They need a HUGE makeover. DO NOT STAY THERE!

The staff are great, breakfast is not bad. But the facility is old and in the process of being updated. The bed needs a new mattress, it slopes in towards the center and uncomfortable. Other than this, the hotel has potential, and I am sure will be nice when they finish. The hotel is not in a great location, you have to drive for dinners or lunch. The building in front of the hotel is being remolded? Torn down? Either way, it is an eyesore. It is really ugly to see and has trash all around it.

The staff was great and that’s what made our stay better. The area around is dangerous, about 3 Uber drivers told me so. The breakfast was a 6/10. The gym sucked, only about 2 weights and the cardio machines were out of order. Our TV didn’t work but the staff changed it out for us.

I was in 404 and I was sitting in their couch and it was stinks like stain urine. When I got up there was a stain and I can smell it and it was so stinks and disgusting. I did not complain and just wait when they asked me to review of our staying there. And after I smell it, and I never used the couch to sit on it. What they should do and check all the couch’s in the room and shampooing it or changed the couch please. Other than that it was not bad to stay there coz it’s near at the airport and has free breakfast.

The only thing that I liked about the property was the fact that the room size was really nice and spacious. However, I was not a fan of a $50 early check-in, as I have never dealt with this issue at other Hyatt hotels. When I told this to the woman at the front desk, she bluntly replied with “Every hotel is different. Here we have an early check-in fee”. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get her name, because the blonde woman that we met on Day 2 was nice (and I don’t want it to be confused who it was that wasn’t very pleasant). We also never once received room maintenance during our stay as typically received in all of our previous stays at other hotels, meaning that the room wasn’t cleaned and we had the same bedsheets & towels for all three days. The breakfast gave all of us a stomach ache, which was surprising given that breakfast is normally good at Hyatt locations. We encountered a roach in our unit on the second day as well, and the water temperature in the shower never rose above lukewarm. After a long day touring Houston, it was disappointing to never come back to a hot shower.
