"It may not be a 5 star hotel but I would give Tennyson 5 stars for the way guests needs are catered for. Entry was simple and effective thru key safe. the room was clean comfortable and warm - I returned from a meal at the local Wetherspoons (brilliantly converted cinema covered in lights!) to find the heating had come on and the room was warm as toast. "Got to the hotel to be told that there was not a room reserved for me. Apparantly the owner had stopped using Hotel.com in September, so was not expecting me. I could not be relocated as it was Lincoln Christmas Market, and all hotels were full. I therefore had to do the return journey all the way home, so wasted 4 hours and half a tank of petrol. Was told I would get a total refund to my mastercard, but then received a credit note instead."
