Anniversary trip
The cottage was clean, had a nice kitchen for cooking, a pretty view, and an easy walk into town. We'll stay here again for future trips to Hot Springs.

This cabin is in a great spot within walking distance to town. It is a little musty as mountain cabins often are but otherwise very clean and comfortable.

This place was incredible! Comfy beds and sofas, plenty of space, kitchen was perfect, hot tub out back, what more could you ask for? Waking distance from beautiful lovers leap and the Appalachian trail.

Trailside AT haven
Trailside cottage was perfect for relaxing after a few days on trail. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen stocked with all I needed. The town is quiet and the views serene. I'd certainly plan on staying again on my next trip to Hot Springs.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We stayed for 2 nights on our 5 day road trip. We hiked Lovers Leap with our 7 year old twin boys and they had a great time. A great New Years Eve and start to 2019.

Our weekend at Hots Springs was amazing. The house worked well for everyone, super close to downtown and trails. Loved hanging out on the porch and around the fire pit. Melanie was very attentive to all our needs. Would definitely come back. Thanks for everything!

Spring Break!
The property is within walking distance to the quaint little town which includes restaurants, local art, and shopping. The house was clean and well stocked. We've been vacationing in Hot Springs for almost 20yrs and will be back! Some of the best communication I've experienced with a property owner.

Good location if your just looking to get away from everything and just relax a few things needed to be cleaned but we made we cleaned them I guess the house keeper/cleaning lady was in a hurry or just didnt do a thorough cleaning

Perfect Mountain Getaway
We had a great stay at Melanie's house!! She was a wonderful host! The updated bathroom was so nice :) and with 4 adults and 2 children we had more than enough space! My favorite part was the front porch and the rocking chairs , very relaxing. Thanks again!

Comfortable and convenient
We enjoyed our stay at Trailside Cottage! The AC kept us cool despite unseasonably warm temps outside. I would suggest bringing extra towels if you plan on using the hot tub or hitting some swimming holes. The house was tidy and the bathroom was clean, but there were other details that had likely been overlooked by the cleaners for several weeks. The location is great— not only for walking to town, but just a few minute’s drive away from great hiking and fishing. Would stay here again.

Close to everything!
Was really looking forward to exploring Hot Springs and all that surrounds. Unfortunately, it was cold and raining during our stay and my husband was a bit under the weather as well. We did appreciate the wifi being stuck indoors. A brief break in the weather allowed us to stroll around town a bit. Breakfast at the diner was nice. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Had everything we needed!!

Great cottage, perfect location
What a beautiful home away from home! The house is charming and spacious, and the location is amazing (and so is the hot tub!). During our three night stay, we hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail, ate at some great restaurants in Hot Springs, took a day trip to Asheville (about a 40 minute drive), and enjoyed a soak in the natural hot springs. This house would be perfect for a couple or a small group, and the owners were very responsive and accommodating. Gorgeous mountain scenery, a wonderful little town, and a great place to lay your head at night: what more could anyone ask for? We will definintely be staying at this location on our next trip to Hot Springs and would highly recommend this property.

well equipped, had everything we needed. Cold and damp when we arrived. House has a musty smell. Could benefit from the attention of a handyman. Front door takes some work to get it securely closed, heating vents are rusty, some are hanging loose. Steps to get into the hot tub. I was unable to get in, if you're 5"4' and a little chonky like me. Owner was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat, things to do in the area.

Perfect Christmas Getaway
Beautiful little cottage right in Hot Springs. My first love and I wanted somewhere quiet to spend our first Christmas together and this place was perfect! Loved the coffee/tea bar, the bed and pillows were so comfortable (I brought my own pillow because I’m picky about that sort of thing) but I never got it out of our car! Also loved the fact that phone cords were provided! My boyfriend forgot his so that was nice! We really enjoyed the books that were there as well. Found some great stories in them. The hot tub was amazing and super private. Loved the fact we could walk into town and grab food (The grey eagle has amazing taco and burritos) and when everything was closed on Christmas Day the kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to cook! Def recommend this place! Melanie was amazing!!!

Great location!
We enjoyed walking to town from the cottage. Unfortunately, the entire town of Hot Springs had a 15 hours power outage while we were there and the hot tub temperature did not recover until Sunday morning when we left, so we were only able to use it for a brief period Friday evening. The owner was great and called to check on us during the outage. We spent most of the day Saturday playing around in the river. Would love to return when there are no power outages!
