"Such a nice hotel with very nice staff. We felt very welcome when we arrived. There are nice restaurants in the neighborhood. It’s a nice village to stay for transit The swimming pool was very nice and clean. There is no airconditioning but we knew that and it was okay. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but a really nice lunch nearby a restaurant. "

"The hotel was lovely, in a great location. The food in the restaurant was absolutely spectacular; one of the best meals I've had in years. Some of the decor in the hotel is a bit dated, there didn't appear to be spare pillows, and we had a separate loo with no sink, so you had to go around to the main bathroom to wash your hands. Apart from these two issues, would have given five stars."

"Motor racing themed budget hotel on the main street of this spa town. Seems family-run. Very friendly pleasant staff. Room is a little worn but large and comfortable. I couldn't drink the large complimentary bottle of Contrex water which had a sulphorous tinge. Contrexeville is nothing special except the spa which I didn't visit. Not far from the upper Moselle which is pretty and has a great bike path. Excellent indoor bicycle storage. "

Zeker het plaatselijke restaurant eens proberen Chez Céline (speciaal) Reserveren en enkel op de middag open. "Very well equipped, clean cottage. We received a warm welcome from the owners and a comprehensive introduction to the property. Due to the unseasonably bad weather whilst we were there, we were unable to make best use of the facilities but there were plenty of them, including a heated pool. The only criticism was that the chairs in the living room were not very comfortable but I imagine guests would normally spend their time outside where there is plenty of garden furniture."
