"This was my first time at the Hotel Du Vin. It’s usually out of my price range but this time it was inexpensive. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. This is an old-fashioned English hotel where the floors feel uneven and every room is different and quirky. The room and bathroom were very large. Water got very hot. The decor is old which doesn’t matter so much to me but they really need a clock in the room and some usb ports. The toilet doesn’t flush well, which was somewhat annoying. I missed...

"Helpful staff, lovely room, however the road noise was very noticeable, and I had a few issues with my door card not working. Staff very good at resolving the door card. Overall a very good place to stay, and I’d happily return. Well done."

"Initially allocated a rather drab room with badly stained/damaged carpet - unacceptable as the hotel was not fully booked. On contacting reception about this, we were kindly moved to a much nicer room with a park view. Enjoyed the underfloor heating in the bathroom, quality bedding and windows that you can open to let in fresh air. Missed having a bathtub as most rooms only have a shower.
