"Fantastic hotel set in an 800 year old castle. Stunning building, rooms beautifully furnished with all amenities, delightful castle grounds, magnificent setting for the restaurant with quality food. Breakfast excellent too. Difficulty with room keys on arrival and had to return to reception for replacements. On entering room discovered that room was not as originally booked on hotels.com website. After again returning to reception and lengthy dialogue with staff that our room was incorrect the problem was finally sorted. Not the best arrival at a hotel !! Wellness centre was superb and the young man running the centre provided a great service with total professionalism and a smiling face. Would definitely return. Outstanding hotel."

"Our family of five loved staying in this magical property. If you rent the whole house, the layout is really well suited to a family with teenagers who like their independence. We loved the combination of modern comforts such as a fantastic coffee machine with antiques and period features. It's conveniently close to beautiful Banska Stiavnica which has great restaurants and so much to do and see.. We are a very outdoorsy family so loved all the lakes for swimming ans the great walking opportunities. Really fantastic house."

"My 18-year old niece and I loved our stay in the Royal Apartment when visiting the charming town of Banská Štiavnica. The apartment is enormous, beautiful and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including a wonderful breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Slovakia."

"Our favorite stay on our 11 day Budapest, Slovakia and krakow vacation! Property helped us to find milk for our babies when all stores were closed. The room had gorgeous views as did the property. There was cute little playground and space to kick a soccer ball for our boys. We wished we could stay longer!! "

"A unique boutique hotel with some much art on the walls you can't see the wall paper. Lots of nice three dimensional art, too. Only drawback is no elevator. A nice little cafe that serves brunch all day. "
