Lovely spot in Hopkins
Great location and everything you could possibly need in the unit. We enjoyed walking around Hopkins and finding delicious restaurants and lots of great people! Clean, well maintained and right in the heart of town!

Hopkins Getaway
My husband and I booked this unit as a getaway weekend for his birthday. Over all it met our needs, and the kitchen was well stocked. I was not expecting how noisy this location was or how exposed it felt when out on the balcony, as it is right on the main drag in Hopkins and there is constant, very loud traffic and motor bikes from early morning until about 8 at night. The fruit stand and fast food seller is right next to the unit and there are cars and motorbikes in and out all day long, sometimes lined up right in front of the unit with people sitting in the cars watching you while someone does the pickup. Definitely wasn't expecting that! There are some maintenance issues I was not expecting (my husband had to fix the chain on the toilet) and some things that really needed maintenance (bare bulb fixture in bedroom, broken light switch cover in bedroom) and you could see the sea air was taking its toll on everything metal and there was quite a bit of rust on things. The weather was rainy and kept us indoors a bit more than we were planning, but this unit was close to restaurants and the beach, and I imagine if the weather had been nicer we would have barely noticed these things as we would have been out exploring. Bed was very firm, which we liked and the room drapes kept it dark for sleeping, which is important to me. With the ceiling fan, the A/C and the stand fan on in the room, we found it drowned out the street noises so we could still sleep in a little. We made it work, and it was a nice place. Just a few little things that would have made it better in my opinion.

Great Cabanas!
We had a wonderful stay here! The owner, Wade, was very nice. He met us for check in and made sure we had everything we needed as well as letting us know the best places to eat. The beach was just a short walk away, which was perfect for morning walks.

Had the pleasure of staying at Latitude 17 south cabana last week with my hubby and 2 teenage kids. It was a perfect spot in laid back Hopkins! Huge front deck with hammocks and a table for 4. Large kitchen and living space and space in the bedroom to hang clothes. The property was immaculate with lots of fruit trees and birds. Central spot for getting around (beach cruisers for you to use too!) fruit stand right next door, beach across the street and amazing drumming in Hopkins! There were some games and cards in the Cabana for family time and nice fans and AC for cooling down. The bathroom had towels for bath and beach and there was a clothesline on the back deck for drying wet clothes. Very well thought out spot. Highly recommend!!
