Homosassa has been called the ultimate river town with its old Florida feel and happening waterfront venues with great food & live music. Come experience all it has to offer in this waterfront retreat right off the Homosassa River on a desirable wide, deep canal. This newly renovated open floor plan home is ideally located around the corner from where the Halls River empties into the Homosassa River. The house is situated right on the water so you are just a few steps away from enjoying a day on the water either boating, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, scalloping or paddle boarding; or you can just relax & take in the views on the dock or back screened porch. Perfect location for walking to waterfront restaurants and shopping, or a short paddle to Homosassa Springs, Halls River and endless sightseeing opportunities, or a short drive to Publix. If solitude is what you want, head to Halls River which is primarily undeveloped & wild along almost its entire length. This is an excellent spot for the avid bird watchers.
Upon entering the home, you are greeted by a spacious great room with knotty pine cathedral ceilings and open windows across the back of the home for a spectacular view of the water. The open kitchen plan boasts a large center island with extra seating, gas stove, built-in oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer/toaster oven combo, coffee makers (drip & K-cup), separate pantry and plenty of space for entertaining. Right off the kitchen is a separate covered patio where you can whip up a meal on the gas Blackstone Griddle and dine outdoors on the picnic style dining set.
A separate bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds, television & a full bath have been recently completed for an additional area for the older kids to hang out. (Please see weight restrictions which apply to the top bunk beds.)
Enjoy the convenience of a private boat ramp to launch your watercraft and secure to the 52 foot dock. Launch your kayak or paddle board from the launcher located on the dock. After a day of fishing, clean your fresh catch on the fish cleaning station. Rinse the day off in the convenient outdoor shower.
There are 7 kayaks & a canoe available for your use.
