"The Sugarbeat B&B is a great home from home, staff, food and service is top notch! Our room ‘Manilow’ was ok but noisy in the morning from 0700 with extractor fans for kitchens, plus doesn’t go off until 1100. The room low roof made it very difficult to relax, plus only one chair to watch tv or have a coffee in room. Cleanliness could be a little bit better with some stains and marks on furniture. Overall an excellent place and have booked again for April."

"Good reception, we were expected and shown to our room. Quiet location, very isolated but a very popular venue, well attended. Restaurant food is excellent and the English breakfast was superb. Our room was directly over the bar and it’s quite noisy which didn’t bother us particularly as it quietens down after closing. The walls are quite thin so you can hear guests in other rooms. "In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "We enjoyed a lovely one night staff a Decoy Barn. We were given tea and cake on arrival and a lovely breakfast the next morning. It was a very comfortable bed which was much needed after a long journey. Many thanks."

"This cottage is utterly beautiful. The rooms are well equipped and beautifully furnished. You won't need to take your slippers for the stay, the underfloor heating keeps your toes constsntly cosy. The huge bedroom has stunning views and decorated exquisitely."

"I was really impressed with the quickness of the host to reply to any of my queries, particularly one around using the oven. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the style of the bathrooms. Only downsides are that the property isn’t near any local shops. The nearest shop is a petrol station. "

Great for Families

"Great place for families to stay after a day in Southwold. We stayed in one of the family rooms which was the best hotel room we have stayed in with our two children - plenty of space and we didn't feel on top of each other at all. Brilliant breakfast the next day, great choice and lovely FOH lady, who really looked after us and was kind to the children. She arranged for the some cooked items for my toddler then the chef came and asked what crockery would be best for him - we had our own plate which she kindly took and used. Overall brilliant service. We will be back again. "

"We really enjoyed our family break. The hotel was gorgeous, so clean and comfortable. We would definitely book to go here again. We really enjoyed all the facilities and a fabulous game of football golf, which was fun for all the family. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. "
