Welcome to Marlpit Cottage, a charming three-bedroom retreat in the village of Salthouse. Full of rustic character, it features a peaceful private garden, perfect for relaxing after exploring the nearby coastline. This dog friendly family cottage offers a tranquil escape in North Norfolk!

The Space:
The cosy lounge at the back of the cottage has a comfy sofa, two chairs, a Smart TV, and a stereo. Warm up by the wood burner on cooler nights.

The front kitchen and dining area are fully equipped with a fridge, freezer compartment, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and small appliances like a microwave and kettle. Perfect for family meals or packing up for beach trips.

All three bedrooms are upstairs. The spacious double room is perfect for parents, with plenty of storage and a hand basin. Two twin rooms feature built-in bunk beds and extra play space under vaulted wooden ceilings, great for older children.
Please note the bunk rooms are not suitable for children under five or those with mobility issues due to ladder access.

Upstairs, there's also a shower room and a separate toilet across the hall, plus an additional toilet on the ground floor.

The star of Marlpit Cottage is its beautiful, dog friendly garden with a patio—ideal for enjoying your morning coffee on sunny days.

The village is well-served by the excellent Coastal Hopper bus service, which operates between Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer, stopping at various towns and villages along the coast. This makes it easy to explore the surrounding areas without needing a car.

After a day spent exploring the coast, enjoy a delicious meal at the charming Dun Cow pub, just a short 10-minute walk from Marlpit Cottage. For an authentic local experience, don’t miss a visit to the quirky Cookies Crab Shop, renowned for its freshly caught seafood and a true favourite among visitors

Salthouse is easily accessible by car via the A149 coastal road. From Norwich, the journey takes about 50 minutes, while the drive from London is approximately 2.5-3 hours.

The nearest train station is in Sheringham, about a 15-minute drive from Salthouse. Trains run regularly between Sheringham and Norwich, where you can connect to services to London and other major cities.

The Coastal Hopper bus service is a great option for getting around the area. It operates between Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer, stopping at key towns and villages along the North Norfolk coast, including Salthouse. This makes it easy to explore the coastline without the need for a car.
