Poppy's Place Beach House

Poppy's Place is an updated second-row beach cottage. Excellent location for you and the family/friends. A very short walk to the beach. Public beach accesses are conveniently located on both sides of the property at the intersection. Beach toys, umbrella, chairs, and wagon are available in the garage for you. 2 car garage. Large driveway for parking or outdoor games. This is the perfect location for walking, running, or biking! Low traffic area and safe for children. Nice park for children 5 blocks away.

Quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic, excellent spot for riding bikes, walking, running, and allowing kids to play safely. Second row, half a block from beach access point with an easy walk for most. A beautiful new kids playground is 5 blocks away, excellent for toddlers and young kids.

Access to restaurants, shops, etc within 5 minutes: drive, bike, or rent a golf cart. In and around the neighborhood you can walk, run, bike, rent a golf cart or drive around and enjoy the area right along the beach.

Excellent communication from the owner; extremely clean; close to everything. The home had all the conveniences that you would want and is beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for us and the added convenience of beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon was a plus.

Fantastic Surf City Stay!
Such an amazing stay at Poppy’s Place, a home away from home. Beach was a short 2 minute walk from the house. Host was brilliant and super responsive, even bought us an electric kettle so we could have our British tea. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Great place to stay!
Poppy’s Place was great! It’s a half block from the public beach access and a short golf cart ride to all the shops in the center of Surf City! It is a quiet street and very pet friendly. Amber was very responsive and helpful. We will be booking this place again for next summer!

We absolutely loved staying at Poppy’s Place. Once you walk in you feel like your beach house vacation has begun. My 3 kids loved being here and we had everything we needed here. Communicating with the owner was easy, quick and pleasant. We would definitely stay at Poppy’s Place again.

We loved this property. It was so comfortable and homey. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Sleeping was very comfortable. It’s in a great neighborhood with the beach steps away. Great for people and dog walking. I could stay there forever!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Poppy’s Place. It is a cute little pink house yet very spacious. The property is stocked very well and we had everything we needed for our stay. Amber was a wonderful hostess and made sure we were comfortable. I would definitely rent from her again!

Great weekend getaway!
We loved Poppy's Place! The house was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, but wish we could've stayed longer. Amber was such helpful host and answered our questions quickly. The house had all the things we needed-space to relax and watch some football, plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds and bathrooms to spread out and the kitchen had everything we needed from opening a bottle of wine (which was waiting when we arrived) to a Keurig for morning coffee. Will have to come back for a stay in the summer when we can walk right across the street to the beach!

Best VRBO I've ever rented.
We stayed for 6 days and it was amazing. Amber was very open with us and made it a completely stress free check in. We showed up and were informed the garage door was having issues. Within twenty minutes she had someone there to fix it. On top of how easy it was to check in, it's in a beautiful area. Your about 1 block from public beach access. The house was just as described and pictures do it justice. Very clean as well. Would 100% recommend.

Cottage is very spacious. My only hope is the sliding glass doors are fixed by our next stay. That would be nice. Overall a very nice cottage. That's nicely located. With ease do all your shopping just a few moments away.

Great little place!
We really enjoyed staying here! It’s quaint but comfortable! Not a bad walk to the beach. A few things to note: the bathroom doors and a few others were extremely loud and hard to use. Not a huge deal but in the middle of the night it was a bit of a pain. The backyard (for those with dogs venturing out) is filled with little mini cactus plants that are painful as all get out! Watch out for those. Other than that, it was a cute quiet street, had all the amenities we needed! Awesome communication!

A Great Experience
The property was just as it was listed. Nice neighborhood and easy walk to the beach. The house was stocked with everything that you would need. And believe it or not the beach chairs and umbrella were in good condition! (A nice surprise). And now for the best part. Amber, the Property Manager, was awesome. She promptly communicated with us from start to finish. There was a bottle of wine and a nice welcome letter on the bar when we arrived and she messaged me on day two to ask if everything was okay. No complaints here.
