"Adorable cabin, well stocked, and great location just seconds from the public boat launch and park. They have added a mattress to the loft as well which made it perfect for our teens. Comfy beds and great outdoor space, even in the rain. "

"Our family had a beautiful weekend celebrating a birthday. We got to spend quality time with our first grandbaby. There was more than enough room for 7 people. The lake is accessible many close by places. The kitchen was great for home cooked meals and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing before bed."

"We arrived after a crazy flight into Portland from California and our son joined us by driving from Ashland OR. There was a charming Christmas tree and fireplace mantle decor waiting for us. So cheery after the bleak dark drive through Vancouver to get groceries.The lighting in the bathroom was a delightfull surprise and the towels and layout were charming and peaceful. The touches of purple were so welcome..I love the quick coffee set up and the pods were perfect. Don't forget your creamer.We all loved the beds, especially the king in the mastter bed. I especially liked the pretty mirror set up in the closet. It was attractive and clever.Our only tiny tiny issues were that the inflatable Xmas decor was too close to the parking space and I almost ran it over several times trying to put 2 cars in the park space and the exterior lighting could be better served from solar or motion sensors. Other than that it was PERFECT.We plan on reserving in the future because our daughter lives over in Salkum and it is a big bummer to stay in a creepy hotel in Centralia.This is an answer to prayer."

"This house was perfect for our family to stay when attending a wedding in onalaska. The check in process was great, house was well stocked and spotless. We also rented the space over the garage and it was also amazing! This is the 2nd time we rented this property. "

"This property was everything and more then what was shown online. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the home was so homey feeling you felt right at home. It accommodated our bigger group perfect and was very enjoyable celebrating both our daughters birthday and Thanksgiving. We definitely would love to stay again and recommend anyone that wants a comfy home away from home this is the perfect place. Oh and lets not forget about the stars and amazing hot tub. "The village retreat is a beautiful home with very thoughtful amenities. The welcome basket was full of goodies and a great start to the stay. This is a great place to stay for families with tweens and teens as we had ample usage of the ping pong table, croquet set, chess set, and fire pit. The coffee/tea set up is amazing with an easy to use espresso machine and drip coffee maker as well as an electric kettle with many tea varieties. Lots of upscale touches in the house including Pendleton linens and the like. Small inconveniences include only having seating for six at the dining table and a shortage of seating in the main living area, but this can be remedied by moving some chairs around. Overall the Village Retreat is an amazing place to stay!"
