The Space:
Kelly Street Cottage is a charming two-level retreat nestled in the historic heart of Battery Point. Downstairs, you’ll find a cozy bedroom, a beautifully styled lounge, and an open kitchen equipped with essentials for self-catering. The breakfast bar seats four, perfect for casual dining (note: there is no formal dining table at the property), and the nearby bathroom includes a convenient walk-in shower.
Upstairs is a spacious loft area with a queen bed at one end and a single bed at the other, with an additional pull-out single if needed—please refer to photos and additional notes in the listing for details.
Outside, a delightful courtyard surrounded by cottage gardens provides a lovely spot to relax in the afternoon sun after exploring Hobart. Panel heaters keep the cottage cozy on both levels.
Laundry facilities with a washer and dryer are located in a shed in the parking area, which is shared with the two neighbouring apartments. Kelly Street Cottage also offers off-street parking for one vehicle, and an extra spot may be available on request.
At the end of the street you will find Kelly Street Steps, built in 1840 by adventurer James Kelly, connecting Battery Point with Salamanca Place and the bustling wharf precinct. The cottage comes with free, off-street parking for all guests. All inner-city attractions are within easy walking distance and the MONA ferry is only 10 minutes walk, which will take you straight to the acclaimed museum via the Derwent River.
Hobart is an easy city to navigate, alternatively the city is serviced by a reliable bus network (Metro Tasmania), taxis and Uber.

Please note Kelly Street Cottage was built in the 1800s and is 85 sqm in size, which should be taken into account when considering the property for larger groups. The property sleeps 6 guests comfortably, however please note there is no formal dining area if this is important to you/your group.
