The ideal base to start or finish your holiday or just to soak up the beauty of Tasmania has to offer. Only 10-15 minute drive to the Hobart CBD and the same to the Airport, with wheelchair access and disabled toilet and shower.
The Space:
"Karinya" apartment is a two bed room apartment, each bedroom having its own bathroom, It has a open planned modern kitchen, dining and lounge area, all with views of the water. The main bedroom has a comfy queen size bed with walkin robe and a wheelchair accessible bathroom and toilet with a wide roll-in shower. The other bedroom is located the other end of the apartment giving it a private feel, also with a Queen size bed, and its own bathroom and robe, as well as its own reading nook. The kitchen has all the modern appliances including oven, microwave and coffee machine. There is a hide away laundry also in the kitchen with a washing machine and clothes dryer. The lounge offers the perfect relaxation spot to either to watch TV or watch the world float by. The apartment is all on one level with ramp access for a wheelchair. The home is divided into to two apartments upstairs permanently occupied and Karinya Downstairs. (access between the two properties are securely locked and secure). Enjoy the outdoors with and outdoor seating and BBQ, or walk in the garden boarding the the water. There is a designated car park for one car in front the apartment and non metered parking on the street.
Guest Access:
Guests have full use of the downstairs apartment and gardens. There is secure and private access with a wheelchair ramp.
The Neighborhood:
Geilston Bay is a beautiful quite suburb on the water. The apartment offers immediate access to a number of amazing walking tracks, both waterfront and bushland. Geilston Bay is dotted with a large variety of moored yachts and you can, after a full day's sightseeing, sit back with a glass of wine and listen to these lovely crafts bobbing in the bay. Lindisfarne (Geilston Bay) is perfectly located for quick and easy access to Mona, Richmond, Port Arthur, the Airport and the fabulous East Coast...while still only being 12 minutes to Salamanca and the CBD. The best of both worlds.
Getting Around:
As you have secure offstreet parking, getting around Hobart by car poses no difficulty. But for those who would love to discover this lovely area by foot, simply step out of the back gate onto the popular Clarence Walking Trail which follows the shoreline along the Derwent River, or take in the panoramic views from the Natone Hill Circuit. Both of these walks are on Karinya's doorstep.
