Horse Haven - Mt Rumney Escapes

Welcome Mt Rumney Escapes, the "Horse House" is fully self-contained pet friendly, 2 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom. You will drive up the beautiful Mountain of Rumney by bitumen and gravel road to a secluded rural natural bushland, hobby farm on 150acre property off the grid with magnificent views of Seven Mile Beach and more. FREE Wi-Fi, FREE Netflix. 14km to Hobart CBD, 13km to Hobart Airport. Close to local attractions in Hobart and Richmond, Port Arthur, Hastings Cave, Mona Museum, Salamanca Market.
The space
The property has 2 bedrooms, 1 Queen Bed and 4 x Single Bunk Beds. There is also a queen bed sofa lounge in the lounge room. Heating is provided.
During your stay you will see beautiful sunrise and sunsets from the top and if your lucky the Aurora Australis. You can meet some of our animals, horses, sheep, goat, chickens and birds.
There are bush walks around the property and off the property to seven mile beach.
You may also see a variety of native animals: echidna’s, wallabies, native birds including eagles, blue tongue lizards and possums.
Guest access
The property is accessible by car, uber or taxi. There is plenty of parking on the property for vans, cars, caravans and other. The property is a gravel road that is suitable for all vehicle types.
You will receive instructions a few days before arriving explaining how to get here and where to access keys. You can self-check in.
Their is short drive from the mountain to the property, which is gravel road. You will see amazing views travelling up the Rumney mountain.
We may not be at the property when you arrive, but please let yourself into the cabin and enjoy your stay. If you have any issues during your stay, please contact us to help you, we are located on the property and able to help where we can.
Other things to note
There are 6 houses on the property in total from pet friendly, disability friendly, 3 Bedrooms/2 Bathrooms, 2 Bedrooms/1 Bathroom, and 2 Bedrooms, fully self-contained. We are continuously improving and adding more features all the time. You can book group bookings, suitable for families, sporting groups, wedding groups. We also accept photoshoots and video bookings or work meetings for short stays or day bookings. Please enquire.

Mount Rumney horse haven
We stay 2 night in this cosy little cabin nice and quiet lots of bush land and nice views was very warm and only a short drive to the city and lots of tourist attractions near by and would stay again

Although road was gravel, it was absolutely dangerous!On entering cabin we were shocked with stains all over mats, sofa, cushions, spill marks down furniture legs, stove was covered in cooking splatters, food residue, dust, Vent above stove - filthy. Shower bay, dirty, ground in rust, grime etc. Sheets were the only things that felt "cleanish", We only used the electric kettle, 2 cups, 1 teaspoon and on washing the cups found the teatowels were too "greasy" to actually wipe them. I have taken photos of all these things if you would like evidence. Thankfully the hand basin and toilet were satisfactory. I have not spoken to the host regarding the huge disappointment, as one of the "House Rules" stated that a further 200 would be deducted if we did not leave the property as we found it! Even the property information folder was very dusty and dirty. I would be interested to see what the Host has submitted as their review.Do you not have a representative to annually check the properties listed on the Stayz site?
