The Space:
Located in the beating heart of Hobart, Gibson’s Mill is written into Tasmania’s history. From the mid-1860’s Gibson’s Flour Mill, a family owned business operated in the period building, becoming the largest flour mill business in Tasmania until it sold in 1979.
Iconic building features such as exposed brick, steel and wooden beams, and the building’s façade dating back to 1890 add character and coolness to the loft style conversion.
The penthouse – the largest of the boutique 12 apartments in the building offers space and edginess that Hobart has become known for.
Split over two levels, the lower level features a modern fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances, large dining and lounge room, workstation, bathroom and two bedrooms – both with King sized beds.
Upstairs is the third bedroom split into two divided sections, one with Queen sized bed, and another nook with single bed. A spacious ensuite also adorns this level. Up a few more stairs and the top level features an expansive deck with outdoor furniture to take in the stunning 180 degree water and harbour front views.
Light and bright, the large arched period windows in the communal spaces offer beautiful views of Hobart’s Waterfront.
The penthouse features all modern conveniences including ducted aircon, euro laundry with washer and dryer and secure car parking for one car.
