Don't really know why this place is getting such great reviews. In my opinion it's mediocre at best. The place is out of town so you need to have a vehicle to get around. The description said the rooms offered views but the window was to the corridor outside and had frosted glass, so unless you wanted everybody to see into your room as they passed by, and let hot air in, you needed to keep the windows and curtains closed, obviously preventing any views. There were no tables and chairs outside either where you could have sat and enjoyed the view. The room in itself was outdated and had no atmosphere whatsoever, the fluorescent lights not making it any better. The bed was the usual firm one and creaked a lot. There was no lift in the building nor a phone in the room so if you wanted to reach reception, you had to walk down and hope someone was around (which often wasn't the case). There was no bin in the room nor any hangers and the placement of the TV wasn't practical for viewing. The old bathroom really needed maintenance and had a leaking sink and low water pressure in the shower, and toilet paper had to be put in a bin, not flushed. There were no hand/face towels nor a bathmat. When asking to hire a bike, the price quoted was more than in town but as I mentioned that, they matched the price. The staff, when around, were friendly enough but nothing out of the ordinary. I was given a map and a quick run-down of what was around. Breakfast was nothing to write home about.
