Pros & Cons - Probably won’t return.
Our hotel booked our airport transfer shuttle. The driver was supposed to be waiting for our family. We called our hotel contact, who called the taxi service. The driver scandalously kept saying he was there waiting for us with our sign the whole time. After re-reading all the poster signs dozens of times—and scouring the area for nearly 30 minutes in the stifling 100+ degree humidity—with our family of 6 (including a baby), we finally find the driver at the desk stand 50 feet away, beginning to print our sign.
After arriving at the hotel, our contact Nancy was very gracious and hospitable. Her customer service was very prompt, professional, and responsive on WhatsApp. She was able to get our botched shuttle service comped for us.
However, after unpacking, showering & turning in for the night, Nancy text us that we needed to switch rooms due to a police investigation occurring on our floor and the apt owner wanted us to avoid the corrupt law enforcement?? The offer seemed optional so we declined since we had already unpacked for our 6 day stay. She insisted—for our benefit—emphasizing that the new room was superior. We switched, but the new room was just inferior with fewer amenities. There was a major ant problem in the kitchen. And the maid—with advertised minimal service—never came once. We ran out of toilet paper for our large family, expecting them to be filled daily. Overall, we suspect the apartment owner kicked us out for a more favorable booking for herself.
