This spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is located in the prestigious, world-class Shipyard Community!
Kingston Cove community is 1 mile to the beach in Shipyard! Imagine staying in this beautiful single story house with the comforts of home and the outdoor amenities just steps from you! This quiet neighborhood has large backyard space for our guests to enjoy the lush landscape and serene views of the lagoon. The driveway has a covered carport for ample parking and safely storing beach gear outside.
Enjoy a nice 5-minute bike ride or short walk down a shaded bike path to some of the best beaches on Hilton Head Island, Van De Meer Tennis Club, Shipyard Racquet Club, and Kingston Cove's beautiful pool and sundeck.
The well-equipped home is appointed with All Of Your Needs In Mind, including streaming TVs in the living area and bedrooms and a great selection of board games and books for winding down after a day on the island. The dining area and wet bar provides ample space for entertaining your family and friends. There is a work space in the living room that is perfect for the guest working remote needing desk space. High speed WiFi is included throughout the home.
The spacious living area features a Queen-sized sleeper sofa with a sliding glass door leading out to the screened-in porch. Our porch has a dining table and seating to enjoy an outdoor meal with your guests and a conversation area with seating and coffee table.
Please note: the fireplace is decorative and not operable by guests.
The chef's kitchen is ready for all of your cooking and entertaining needs. Tons of pantry space and all the cookware you could need! A dinette table for extra seating is in the kitchen, as well.
Relax in our Adirondack chairs on the back deck with an evening libation to wind down from a day of exploring. The primary suite with king-sized bed has a private bath and ample storage in the oversize-closet and dresser. The bedroom has a walk-out to the screened in porch from the bedroom. The front guest bedroom features a king-sized bed and a twin bunk bed above with a closet for storage. The back guest bedroom features a king-sized bed and a walk-out to the back deck. All bedrooms have flat screen smart TV's, as well as the living room. A queen sleeper sofa is located in the living area to complete our sleep-9 home. Cozy linens, towels, and starter amenities are included with your stay. The full-sized washer and dryer are neatly tucked into the laundry room off of the screened-in porch!
The back deck has stairs leading down to the spacious backyard that backs up to the lagoon with oak trees shading the landscape. The covered car port has beach gear and a hose below for guests to use. There is a trash receptacle located in the car port, as well. The gas BBQ grill is located in the back yard with propane provided.
BEACH ACCESS at Shipyard Beach is a 15-20 minute walk and exactly a mile away from the house along the covered bike paths that run through Shipyard and connect to the island bike paths. One beach parking pass is included during Summer Season, and parking is available on a first come-first park basis if you wish to drive to the Shipyard Beach Club parking lot. Shipyard offers a 27-hole golf course, miles of bike paths, and the Sonesta Resort for the perfect family vacation, golf outing, or weekend get-away!
Just outside the gates of Shipyard, you'll find the heart of the south end... Coligny Plaza. There are tons of casual dining options and shopping that are all located directed across the street from Coligny Beach. Coligny Plaza offers nightly entertainment in the summer for families and adults.

The Kingston Cove community pool is located at the entrance to Kingston Cove and is open daily from sunrise to sunset from April 1st through October 31st. The pool deck is open year round.

No Smoking. No Pets allowed in Kingston Cove rental homes. The minimum age of the primary renter is 25. NO E-BIKES permitted in Shipyard. No golf carts, trailers, boats, or RV's are allowed on the property. Parking on any part of the landscaping or the roadway is prohibited. Overflow parking is provided across from house #15 on the west side of Kingston Cove. Trash Pickup is weekly, along with recycle.
Guest Access:
Key code access will be provided in the days prior to your arrival for seamless check-in. Two parking passes will be provided during you stay. Parking pass must be displayed in vehicle throughout your stay in Shipyard.
The Neighborhood:

Getting Around:
The pool, beach, tennis center, and beach are all walkable. Breeze Shuttle is available mid-March through October outside of the Shipyard gate to get you to shopping, restaurants, or the public beach. A parking pass is available for the Shipyard amenities, and the beach has public parking as well.
Other Things to Note:
No Smoking. No Pets. No Parties. Please enjoy yourself and treat our home like you would treat your own. Do not take furniture out of the home or move it from one room or to another. NO RV's, sprinter vans or shuttles. No motorcycles or trailers are allowed on the property. Bikes must be secured. Only Shipyard parking passes are permitted within the Shipyard gated community.
Bugs
We get asked about Palmetto Bugs all the time. Yes, these are roaches and are found pretty much everywhere outside in South Carolina but we like to call them Palmetto Bugs as it makes them sound nicer! They can be pretty big, can fly and will scurry around the floor but they are largely harmless. They do occasionally come inside, especially at night and during or after any storms. Rest assured all of our homes are professionally treated monthly for pests. Any bugs that manage to get inside will die quickly.
According to Eric Benson, Ph.D. professor and extension entomologist at Clemson University “It has nothing to do with cleanliness or the economic conditions of the area,” said Benson. “They could be around the nicest home or the nicest hotel or resort.”
If you leave the doors or windows open, especially at night, you will likely see a few. This is perfectly normal. If you see 20 or 30 all in one place then please let us know. This might mean we have a nest somewhere in the home and we'll need to get pest control out to take care of it. This is extremely rare!
Please don't worry about bugs, enjoy your vacation. You'll likely not see any while you are here, we just include this note so you understand it's not unusual to see some and it doesn't mean the home isn't well looked after!
