New Kitchen remodel in the winter of 2025

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Desirable Captain's Cove community!!! Drive right up to this 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhome right across the street from the beach! If the beach isn’t your thing, we are also a short walk from the Palmetto Dunes Tennis and Pickleball Center, The General Store, The Palmetto Dunes Outfitters with bikes and water sport rentals, restaurants, and 3 world class golf courses. This villa is perfect for a couple or two to enjoy off season, or for a large group in the summer. The location and size also work great for group tennis or golf trips!

Upon arrival you will be delighted to park right in front of our villa and walk up just a few steps to our front deck that has a tiny little peak of the ocean. The entry opens up into a large great room with beautiful lagoon views, and a kitchen that is stocked with everything you need! Stainless Steel appliances, a full-size commercial grade washer and dryer, and a sunny breakfast table complete this updated kitchen. Beautiful hardwood floors run throughout the entire first floor.

Dining and Great Room: The spacious second dining area seats 6 comfortably and opens up to the great room. The entire space has a comfortable and relaxing vibe for your whole group to enjoy. A 65” smart TV and plenty of comfortable seating enhances the space as well, along with the great lagoon view!

Living Space: Off the great room is a wonderful, bright Carolina room where you can enjoy watching the wildlife and passerby’s in the lagoon! Just off the Carolina room is a large deck with a few steps down to the grass. There is a charcoal grill area right out back as well as a dock. Feel free to bring your kayaks, or rent from the Palmetto Dunes Outfitters, and launch them right out back off the dock. If fishing is your thing, bring your gear!

Bedrooms: There are 2 master suites downstairs. Both first floor masters have king sized beds and full bathrooms. The first master has an updated walk-in shower, and double sinks. The second master has also been updated, and offers a tub/shower combo. Upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms. The first bedroom is a spacious room with a queen-sized bed, and plenty of extra space for a port-a-crib or extra gear. The second bedroom has built in bunk beds and a separate twin-sized bed. Between the 2 bedrooms is a full bath with a walk-in shower. There is also a loft area upstairs with a desk.

How far to the beach: Simply walk out the front door and across the street to the private beach access for the Captain’s Walk and Captain’s Cove villas.

Pool: Enjoy the oceanfront Captain’s Cove/Captain’s Walk pool right across the street. A short 2-minute walk, and you are at the pool with adjacent beach access, in addition to outside showers and bathrooms. There are also gas grills located by the pool. The pool deck is open all year long and the pool is heated March 1- April 30, and October 1- November 30.

About us: We purchased our Captain’s Cove in 2019 after owning a nearby 2-bedroom villa for many years. We are from Cincinnati, Ohio and travel to Hilton Head frequently. We love having all the extra space and find that it is not too large for just the two of us, yet plenty spacious when the kids and friends come to visit. The location is one of our favorite things about it, with the beach, tennis, golf and so many restaurants all being right around the corner! We expeciall love driving right up the front door!

Pets: Not a pet friendly rental! However, off season, we will consider small non shedding dogs under 20 pounds for long term rentals. All pets would need to be pre-approved by the owner, or you could be asked to leave immediately if a pet is in our villa.

The sunrise in the morning on the front deck, and the sunset in the evening on the back deck couldn’t be more peaceful to start and end your days. No matter what activities you chose, coming home to this very comfortable and spacious townhome on the beautiful lagoon will offer you all the comfort you need while on vacation.

Palmetto Dunes collects $35.00 weekly for a car pass. This is not included in your rental price.

Widiies of palmetto dunes.
Hilton head, palmetto Dunes were very excting with many things to do on the island, horseback riding, tubing and going up in the lighthouse were just to name a few. Eating on the deck while watching the alligators watch us was very interesting. There was plenty of room and people weren’t too crowded smashed up altogether. It was a great family spot. The spot was very clean the land lord was right the place is really clean, and easily kept clean.

Great Stay
Loved the villa, and the location is awesome for access to any of the Palmetto Dunes amenities (Golf, Tennis, Alexanders, Beach House etc. etc.). Only minus is the proximity of the condo to the road (time on the balcony is a touch noisy). Recommend this villa for an amazing stay. We had Great time, at a great place, with great weather too!

Beautiful Villa
We have rented two other villas in the Moorings, and this one by far is the cleanest and most beautiful. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. The villa was comfortable and the proximity to the beach is perfect. Also appreciated that pets are allowed. Hope to rent again in the future!

Wonderful Villa
We have vacationed on Hilton Head Island for several years and The Moorings is by far our preferred location. This was our second stay at this particular villa and it is one of our favorites. The villa is updated, well appointed, and well maintained. The owner, Amy, is excellent to work with and established good contact both before and during our stay. We will definitely be returning to this villa for future vacations.

Ideal stay
You simply cannot go wrong by choosing this rental. It’s large, incredibly stocked, beautifully furnished, and so close to the beach and pool at Captain’s Walk. The lagoon behind the unit kept us entertained with gator, fish, and heron sightings. The grass is lush all the up to the lagoon, quite unusual for a lot of other lagoon front properties. The Sattlers’ have made sure your time in 499 Captain’s Cove will be the best.

Two weeks was not long enough!

Charming beach decorated condo. Lots of space and great natural light! Breakfast and wine out on the balconies overlooking the ravine was very peaceful. Three full bathrooms worked out great - we each had our own! You cannot beat this location - so close to the beach. The owners were very easy to work with, place was very clean and there were extra amenities we weren't even expecting. Highly recommend renting this place.

Perfect Family Stay
Our family loved everything about this place! Great location with a very short walk to the beach and pool. Private beach area was not overcrowded. Perfect amount of space for 2 families including 4 young kids. Great selection of beach toys and kitchen amenities. We loved visiting the lagoon each day too. We used the gas grills by the pool which were very convenient and easy to use. All the beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. Communication with the owner was excellent and they were diligent in ensuring we had all we needed. Highly recommend!

Fantastic long weekend
We had a perfect Labor Day weekend in Hilton Head! The property was very nice and clean and exactly as pictured on the website. When it rained we enjoyed playing Monopoly and Life, 2 of the many games made available to us in the villa. My husband loved the sleep number bed. Kids loved the bunk beds. Bike rentals walking distance.

Family Time
Was very happy with the property. Very close to the beach, lots of available activities. The condo was nicely decorated with plenty of space for all 7 of us. We could all eat together at one table & kitchen large enough for several people to work together at one time. Plenty of kitchen supplies & baking equipment. Only complaint there needed to be a knife sharpener.

Wonderful family getaway close to the beach
We had a wonderful weeks stay at this property. Close to everything you could want-walking distance to the beach and private heated pool. The home itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything that you may need to cook a feast! We were traveling with a baby and had ample space for all our equipment. Close to the grocery store, shopping, restaurants, golf, renting bikes and gorgeous walks on the beach. Amy was wonderful to communicate with and easy to reach by text. Don't hesitate in booking this property-you will not be disappointed!

Very Nice Condo
This was a really nice condo, updated, comfortable and clean. Really no complaints about the condo. The communication with the owners was great and we were able check in early which was really nice. It is a very short, convenient walk to the beach and general store. The only reason that I would not give five stars is that the beach was pretty crowded because it is where they let off the shuttle for the resort, so it was a bit like a public beach access. We have stayed in Hilton Head for years and overall it is a very nice condo.

Beautifully renovated Moorings Condo!
We have stayed in Palmetto Dunes for many years. This condo was one of the most beautifully modernized condos that we have been in. It was cozy, just like home. We enjoyed the decks that overlooked the canal system. Many Kayakers went by, as well as wildlife. Just a short stroll to the beach awaits, with a wonderfully relaxing time. We saw an eagle fighting an osprey, porpoises and two double rainbows. Our host Amy was amazing! Very great communication if you need anything! (we also enjoyed her Keurig for our sunrise expeditions)

Run to Captains Cove!
Phenomenal 5 star property and location! Conveniently located at the front of Palmetto Dunes! Three min walk to the beach and pool. Immaculate property! You could eat off the floor when we arrived! Five star amenities! Very nice kitchen, furniture, bathroom towels, laundry, beds, lines etc TV's in all the rooms. Perfect set up for families! The upstairs is like a little teen getaway. Our kids loved their own space. Backyard has beautiful pond with fish and room to kayak etc. We liked the rental so much we booked next year already! Total 5 star experience!
