Loved everything about this place!
This was our first time in Hilton Head, and staying at this location was amazing. It was close to everything that we wanted to do both on and off the property. The staff was very responsive, when we encountered a problem with the pool code. But otherwise we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while on vacay!

Crazy steps!
The house is in a lovely location. If you are elderly and/or have small children in the family, the steps could be tricky. The house is in need of a deep clean. And we had no internet , cable or tv for 8 days.

The biggest issue that I had with this place is the fact that the air upstairs does not work properly. You have to run fans in order to cool off on hot days.

Mini vacation
Harbourside at Hilton Head Island is a beautiful waterfront community located in South Carolina. The marina is a popular feature of this community, offering stunning views of the water and boats. From an apartment window, you can experience a peaceful and picturesque scene of the marina. In October, the weather is generally pleasant, making it an ideal time for a mini vacation. You can enjoy the calmness of the marina, watch boats sail by, and simply relax in the tranquil atmosphere. The combination of the marina view and the comfortable surroundings of Harbourside create a perfect setting for a rejuvenating getaway.

Condo With A View
Being on the 4th floor gave you amazing views of the harbor. Many restaurants within walking distance and of course so many more to choose from within a 15 minute drive or less. Wish we were at the condo into the first two weeks of April when more plants, shrubs, etc. were in bloom. Miles of Bike Trails make for another way to see the island. This condo has two floors connected by a spiral staircase that may be a hinderance to older people. We are an older couple, thankfully in fairly good physical shape so we managed. Some may not. Could have brighter lightbulbs! You get a lot for the money!

Nice stay
The unit was as pictured and very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with all manners of cook equipment. It also came with some decent beach gear, such as a cooler, chairs and umbrellas, which was appreciated. Shelter Cove is a nice area with bars and restaurants. However, it's a drive to any of the beaches, so keep that in mind. Also, the unit has a spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms, which may be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location
The home looks just as pictured other than the jacuzzi is no longer there, which really did not make a difference to us. It was very spacious, in gray condition and very clean. There are several restaurants and shops near by and the wall in the marina is beautiful. The checkin and check out process was seamless and the Vacasa team was very proactive to offer help in case there was anything we were not satisfied with. I would say that better instructions regarding the location of the unit and the pool with in the community would have been helpful. However, when we contacte Vacasa they responded immediately. Would love to go back with our family of six.

wonderful time
The condo was very nice. The only thing is the stairs going to the bedrooms was kind of dangerous. But overall the place was very nice. Took us a couple of days to find the pool had to call and ask and still could not find it but a person that lived near by told us how to get there. Had a beautiful view of the harbor.

Amazing views
We love this place and have stayed here multiple times. What always makes this place a treat is the views and the close proximity to restaurants and the beach. property is nice and in good location. The listing should state the office hours. It should always state what condition the property should be left in such as all bed sheets removed or all towels washed. Also none of staff people walking around the property could answer a single question I had. I had to call the property manager everytime.

Perfect spot with our teens
Clean, gorgeous view, and walkable to restaurants and shopping. Trolley line to Coligny and the Dunes Buggy to Palmetto Dunes beach. This could not have been a more perfect location for our family. Tuesday night fireworks and on-stage entertainment, all enjoyed from our balcony. We skipped renting a car and relied on our rental bikes and public transportation. The A/C did struggle in the upstairs bedrooms and I also learned that I am not a fan of a spiral staircase. Neither one were a deal breaker for us. We absolutely would rent here again.

Ok, but not great
We really wanted to love this place, but we were not thrilled, unfortunately. It is in dire need of some basic upkeep and a massive deep cleaning. The rugs are gross, there was hair all over the shower, the bottom of the garbage can was disgusting and you can tell that the place has only been spot cleaned in between guests. There were multiple light bulbs that were broken or not working, the coffee pot lid was busted, the toilet broke, there were dirty glasses and dishes in the cupboards and the bathrooms could use some TLC and updating. Additionally, the sofas have lost their firmness and the mattresses crinkle and creak. Additionally, we never received any sort of direction with how to get into the pool or where we’d get parking passes to through the home or Vacasa. We never felt at home here and always felt like we were sitting or standing on something dirty, which is particularly unsettling during Covid. On the upside, the balcony has a nice view of the harbor, the fireworks and overlooks nightly entertainment in the evening. The view, however, is not worth the price we paid. We’ve stayed at many places at HHI, and this is the first that we will not return to.

Very poorly maintained!
I hope this review helps others as the reviews on Vacasas website are all 4-5 stars. Its obvious they pick and choose. We found the overall cleanliness to be very poor. The vinyl floors were smeared and streaked and the carpets were not at all vacuumed. The bathrooms were satisfactory given the age of the property. The kitchen was very poorly maintained with accumulated debris and buildup in high traffic areas. There were grease drippings down the oven door and food debris including French fries in the bottom drawer. Because of this we avoided the use of the kitchen except for refrigeration use. The fridge was well maintained overall. There was absolutely no broom or dustpan for use and the only vaccum was extremely outdated and did not work well at all. I think what struck us the most was the air filter located by the front door. It was so incredibly dust and debris laden it was sagging into the vent. It was apparent someone had tried to open the vent at some point as one screw was out and it was slightly ajar. It appeared that the filter had not been changed in years. The bed linens were changed but based on the cleanliness overall we did not rest comfortably. We travel alot and this was one of the worst maintained properties we have ever stayed at. We called to let Vacasa know and they were supposed to send someone out Saturday and they did not show. We would not stay here again and recommend those who do come ready to clean!
