Beach Lover's Retreat End Unit Villa House w Pet-Private Beach

This vacation rental is both family and pet-friendly! Queens Grant is located in the popular Palmetto Dunes Resort, the center area of Hilton Head. With all amenities provided by the Award Winning Palmetto Dunes Resort, you are just minutes from the beach, steps from Hilton Head’s great bike paths, golf courses and terrific shopping and dining. There are 4 community swimming pools and the Robert Trent Jones golf course located just steps from my villa that can be enjoyed by family members. The Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center and General store are both just a short walk away.
The recently renovated two bedroom private end unit villa can sleep a total of nine people when you utilize the queen sleep sofas in the living room. The spacious 1500 square feet villa has a large deck and patio area with beautifully maintained landscaping.
The master bedroom has a patio, comfortable King-size bed, 42 inch HDTV, and brand new private tiled bathroom with extra large walk-in tile shower.
The large living Room with vaulted ceiling has a brand new 60 inch flat screen TV in the living area, HIGH SPEED (Cable Modem) internet access WIFI (Wireless). WIFI is SECURE!
The spacious kitchen has an open space design and is very well equipped with all the comforts of home. New washer and dryer off the kitchen area.
We provide beach chairs, beach cart with big rollers and one cooler with big rollers.

Fabulous Thanksgiving stay
The family stayed at this home and one of reasons we chose this home was because they allowed pets and we wanted to be able to take them to the beach with us. We loved the large kitchen space and dining as it allowed for the festive Thanksgiving gathering.

Like most everywhere on HHI, this neighborhood is PRIVATE and requires guest passes for every vehicle. We appreciated having a pet friendly place to stay that was clean and spacious.

We came here for a quick weekend trip with our friends and two dogs and couldn't have asked for a better pace to stay! There are two bikes provided by the owners and detaield guides on how to access everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly resort
We met lots of lovely people and dogs! It’s on a busy corner, but is close to a large pond with lots of wildlife which I love. Our dog loved the dog friendly beach! The location of the resort is pretty central to shopping, restaurants and the bike trails are extensive. The villa is spacious and the online photos are accurate. The island and the resort exceeded our expectations.

3 Night Stay
We booked a few days out for a short stay while we were traveling. Description was accurate and it worked well for our stay. Only glitch we had was at check in time the security for the grounds did not have us listed as a guest so we couldn't obtain a pass. They were unable to contact the owners to allow access. We ended up waiting in a parking lot for about 1 1/2 hours until we were allowed to enter.

good for a weekend
Nice for a weekend in winter, probably would not stay here in summer, too far from water and kitchen stuff is not nice for a weeklong stay. Linens and furniture are tired, it worked for a weekend for us but would not really recommend for a weeklong family stay. Disappointed in what we paid for what we got here. It is dog friendly though, but the furniture looks like it. Owner was good at communicating when we had an issue, even from out of country.

Property was very nice. In a very good location. Nice amenities. The only problem was Internet. I did have some business to do and it was virtually impossible. It kept cutting out. I did speak to the owner and she was very willing to try to help it is through a cable company, so it probably has bandwidth problems. But otherwise very very nice.

Our first vacation
First of all, the renter of the property, Amanda was very quick at responding. Everything was overall nice with the exception of one of the bathrooms, where the tub was not completely clean, and the toilet had a ring around the inside and on the outside of it of dirt. I know this does not fall on the renter, however the cleaning people need to do a better job. We spent most of our time indoors due to the weather that was unexpected, but we felt comfortable and at home.

I stayed the month of January and was very happy with the location and property. It was within walking distance of the beach (~7/10th of a mile). It was an interesting walk with things to look at and a few turns which made the daily walk go by really fast. I like Hilton Head for the sunny weather and biking paths. There are over 100 miles of bike trails and it’s easy biking on the packed sands of the beach. I brought my own bike as I went daily but did see plenty of options to rent them, including e-bikes. The bedrooms of the house are very private from the living area and each other. It was extremely quiet and the beds were comfortable. The deck had full sun in the afternoons which was a bonus for the winter months. As long as the sun was out, it was quite comfortable sitting out there daily. This was one of the better suited places that I have stayed for my needs. It was very accommodating for both people and my pet.

OK Stay, but not without some issues
The property location is good, but the property itself had several issues which should have been addressed prior to our arrival. These included dripping water from the freezer into a glass container in the fridge on which there was a sign asking that the container not be moved. During our 5-night stay, the dripping water overflowed from the container and spoiled some of the food items we had stored in the fridge. The kitchen faucet leaked water onto the stone countertop whenever it was turned on, and one of the toilets leaked at its base whenever it was flushed. There were few supplies left for guest use; one small roll of paper towels, and two each detergent tablets/packets for use in the washing machine and dishwater. There were several other annoyances, which we reported to the owners, to which we received no reply or thank you for calling these issues to their attention, Lastly, we suggested that the owners consider placing a welcome guide for guests in the condo, with details on how to operate various appliances and fixtures, including the TV and front door, on which we worked for some the first night we were there trying unsuccessfully to lock the door from the inside. Very frustrating! The owners seemed indeferrent to our concerns, and did nothing to correct these issues while we were staying there.

Rental Review
The condo was updated with newer bathrooms, kitchen, beautiful flooring throughout, and nice bedrooms however the furniture seems a bit dated. The couches weren't real comfortable and had some staining and wear and tear on the material. The size of the condo was perfect for our 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids). The downfall was that we only had 1 shower that worked until our last day. That was a huge inconvenience to us. The owners acted on it when we told them but it took the whole week for the plumbers to order the parts and fix it. The kitchen was short on dish towels (only 1) and no dish cloths (we had to buy some). The listing says they have beach towels but they only have 3. Should have more since the condo can accommodate up to 9 people. The condo was clean except for under the couches, beds and bedroom baseboards. I saw alot of dog hair. This condo does allow pets. The cleaners could do better at cleaning the baseboards and under the furniture. Our last night as we were getting our things together, the kitchen sink clogged up. The plumbing needs a good cleanout I think. The sinks in the bathrooms drained slow also. The location of the condo was excellent. Close to the pool. Close to the entrance and exit of the plantation and shops. Close to the beach.

Location spot on!
We were just visiting to dip our toes in the water and get a feel of the area and its atmosphere and this place was the perfect location setting us smack dab in the middle of everything. Our only complaint is our vacation wasn’t long enough to do everything. Trip two is in the plans.
