This house is in the process of pretty significant renovations. The owners are definitely on the right track and have made some great improvements so far, but there is a lot more work to be done. The vibe ended up being an odd mix of high/low: nicer bedrooms, tons of pillows, loads of towels....but missing hand soap and a basic kitchen with plastic silverware.
Our stay was really impacted by a lack of wi-fi and no cell service (Verizon/TMobile) anywhere near the house. It made it hard to coordinate arrivals, couldn't communicate with the outside world, TV didn't work, couldn't look up activities in the area, couldn't contact the owners with other issues... It would have been helpful to at least have a landline in the house.
Other things to know: the "fifth" bedroom is more of a pass-through den off the living room, not a real bedroom. The pool listed on the site is totally dry, not in service. The dining room is pretty rustic, no larger table for family meals, but nice larger space to let the dogs play.
The area is beautiful though: great creek outside to play in, nice front porch for relaxing, picnic table out back for meals during nice weather, lots of open space for kids and dogs to run, free amenities in attached campground. And the parts of the house that have been renovated are really very nice. We all agreed that once the work is done, it's going to be a great spot. The owners have made nice decisions so far, just might need more time to finish the work.
